I love'em and have been very happy with how well the work.
ebay only....not to sound crass or anything but I am only selling this stuff to generate some very much need cash for the non-profit Disabled Explorers....registration is coming up, just did the windshield, tires are gonna be toast before much longer and of course there is the massive insurance...
Well as much as I hate to see these go I hope they will find a good home in an overlanders abode.
What better bit of art to have on the wall than something to make you think of distant rich fields of tobacco under a tropical sun.
Enjoy your habano or non-habano whilie looking at the box art from...
the blue shirt is waymon cornell, I know he doesn't care :)
He has been a super cool help to Disabled Explorers and drives a Lexus GS470 I think (the newish one)
He went on a run with you before Mark.
Not sure on the rest...
I have read & reread this book many times, my wife & sons have read it and best of all it is SIGNED BY THE AUTHORS.

I think this sort of summary or looking back is what is most often missing in build threads...
There is more value to me hearing what a person thinks after they are using the setup than when they are planning.
1" doesn't sound like much but it sounds like a worthly change for anyone else...
the biggest issue I see with making a smaller lighter RTT is how to make a base that is strong & wide enough for 2-3 people.
Currently we see marine grade plywood and some aluminum frames & composite.
Maybe if you use the same stuff Adventure Trailers uses for their drawers?
Combine that with...
Ok just imagine if we could get the Nemo folks into Roof Top Tents :)
I am not a big ground tent person but I would be interested in hearing what would transfer over?
Lightweight fabric?
Poles?
You would still need a strong base (ground tent gets to use the ground, not fair)
Ladder?
I really like the travel with a purpose idea...going out to retrace history is better than just playing for fun.
Please keep posting more of your adventures
Excellent trip report and thanks for the history also....it really opens up the landscape to a new viewpoint when you think about who has come before you.
Very very cool...
thanks for posting the killer pics and I love the mix of vehicles.
Sounds like a great time....question though...why not tell the Univ where the crater is?
Thanks guys, things are tight around here and there are some repair bills and tire needed coming up quick so every bit helps.
I just added another CB setup, not as nice as the Uniden but functional.
