There is probably someone here that understands the ecological piece better but when we use an outside latrine as it were, all paper is collected and either burned or disposed of with the regular trash.
We also use the chemicals in our cassette when we do use it and I would think that...
Indeed. The latrine actually meant that we didn't use our toilet /cassette) once during a 2 week outing.
Keyne, let me try to find some interior pics and will post below. But a few notes. You're correct that we have the lounge forward, kitchen on pass side aft of the access door that looks...
Unfortunate that this thread got this far down the path before this question was asked. I still contend that if you are clear about what your needs, wants and use cases are.....the right choice becomes obvious. If not, you are likely to be disappointed.
I use knives a lot. Like....A LOT....several thousand critters skinned per year on avg.
For a lot of that I’ve moved over to disposable blades but for my good knives, I pretty much use a steel to touch up and the Lansky system (see the review by project farm posted above) for actual sharpening...
Just thought I would drop a photo in here from our recent trip. Not to make it worse for you Aussie... We are loving our truck and it took quite the pounding to get to this particular spot but it was worth it for 2 weeks of near solitude.
'To pass thru or not pass thru' is one of many features on these vehicles that is some personal and so specific that one size fits all just simply doesn't apply.
For us, we wouldn't even conceive of owning a vehicle that didn't have a large pass-thru such is with our Kenworth GXV. And yet we...
Agree to all that. However, if you are implying that the Big 3 don't have, and assert a level of market dominance/political sway and overall defensive posture on the types of trucks - and more specifically 4WD trucks - that make it to our shores easily then I would argue to the contrary.
You guys are overthinking this.
See link below. I suspect the new forum sponsor objected to having other manufacturer's brand name in the heading of the very thread they sponsor. Which, for the record, I can't really blame them. Welcome Nimbl, you're in good company...
draaron nails it regarding the drivability of the e-series vs. the cabovers (and in this case I'm referring to Diesel Fuso or Kenworth cab over). You are in for a pretty jarring reset of what you consider a hill and how quickly you climb them.
The Fuso and KW quite literally drop anchor to go...
Thanks for sharing and thanks for answering the fusilade of questions. You have a well thought out rig and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it as you answer questions and report progress.
Agree on the cab over benefits. It’s amazing how much box we were able to get for a truck that’s got a shorter wheelbase than my F250 and OAL only a foot or two longer.
Sucks that the market is cornered by a handful of brands in the US.
Turning radius is also a plus.
This is for a Kenworth truck. I was able to confirm- sort of - that the cellular lead coming off the shark fin works with the weboost. I tested back and forth between the OEM weboost antenna and the shark fin and got better boost with the shark fin it seemed.
I found the lead in the A pillar...
I have found recently that Orvis appears to have found their way again. In my lifetime they went from a company that made excellent, long lasting (if not overly technical) gear that worked and was dependable.......to boutique overpriced crap that wasn't worth a dime and would fall apart the...
That seems like really good gas mileage. I'm gonna be towing a lot less weight up White Bird Hill in a few days and will be happy to get that kind of action.
