Yes! That's totally it. I only saw it from a distance but I have little doubt. Man, it looked really cool. Whoever bought that got a pretty authentic and ingenious EXPO vehicle from my perspective.
Bummer, I wish I had seen it. We at least cooled off in the river but called the trip short due to high water temps.....too hot for catch and release trout fishing IMHO.
I saw a really interesting big expo-type vehicle the past week in the Pahsimeroi Valley. It was like a XXXL XP camper type design mounted on an older - maybe 1970s or early 80s Ford dump truck chassis. Relly neat and inventive but didn't get a chance to get photos as I was riding my bike along...
We saw an EarthCruiser this weekend near Stanley Idaho. It was pulled into a campsite in one of the most overcrowded campgrounds in the entire area..... ?♂️
We were out and about this weekend but were further south than CDA. During the summer, you'll know its us its towing a drift boat or a whitewater raft setup for fishing! I forget the owner's names of the other Beige one (its nicer than ours if I'm being truthful)
EDIT: And we are getting...
Isn't the wheelbase longer on the IH - which would also have an impact on the overall maneuverability? I can report that our 170" wheelbase KW has some pretty amazing turning capability to get in and out of some pretty tight spots.
I suppose the one pic could also be in support of the "to pass thru or not" thread since it would suck if that front wall was nothing but dead wall space...
We ended up leaving the foam plug at home 99% of the time unless we know we are going to be in extreme temps. I made a "curtain" using magnets in the hemline of some light-blocking drapery fabric that stores VERY small and performs almost as well as the foam plug. Not the insulating quality...
There is a third train of thought which is even if the passthru is more of a “crawl-thru” it creates more open space, additional window square footage and generally a more open environment.
I don’t need it for security, and it’s not particularly convenient (my wife can get through it relatively...
We may need to circle back to the pedantic thread about what determines an Integrated Overland Camper possibly? Maybe the pass-thru is a defining characteristic of the difference between an Integrated Overland Camper vs a Hardside Camper such as Lance, Bigfoot, etc?
I think there is a forum...
We simply enjoy our passthru as a means of extending the space, livability, and visibility/window square footage of our camper.
I doubt we would have gone with something that didn’t have the passthru if only for that reason
Not concerned about security and I suspect those arguments were made...
I would say all are at or above normal or average. I did just recently add some dynamat to the doors, not because I found it to be noisy but I had some laying around and we really like leaving the pass thru open and I know from previous experience that it really helps with the insulation. It...
Although these were taken while inside a big shop, hopefully you can see how much natural light that would be coming in the big windows.
We wouldn’t trade them for anything
