Not really - I'd figure out the root cause of the problem of the threads stripped out and maybe see if you can get a tie rod with the threads tapped into it directly rather than the weld-in adapters (which sometimes have limited thread length). The beauty is that these ends are available any...
Yeah, ujoint is right. Those pieces look to be the popular "Chevy 1 ton" tie rod ends used in many, many conversions. A little bit of googling will quickly reveal the PNs of what you need. And as bdkw1 (is that you, Brian?) notes, it looks like the threads have stripped out of the welded -in...
Oh man, I wish you were closer! I'm really grimacing at the price of this size new but like it. I'm curious of anyone who has run the D and C-rated AT2s can tell much of a difference in ride quality. I'm really wanting to get rid of the E-rated Toyos on my Bronco. They wear like iron but...
That poor truck has been flipped, re-flipped, and flipped again the past few years. I just wish someone would buy it, use it, and enjoy it instead of just viewing it as another commodity from which to make a few bucks.

I had these years ago and really liked them - the monkeys at Discount tossed them when they changed my tires one time and I didn't realize it until later. Send me a PM with your Paypal, Phil, and I'll get a set across town.
Thanks,
Todd Z.
I appreciate your input here with a wide variety of traction-aiding devices used. I've long thought of using True-Tracs front and rear but keep coming back to "ARBs are the ultimate" and probably do better in snowy conditions since they can be turned off. I've had a Detroit in the back of my...
I've thought about doing that myself (I'm 6'4"). I've made do in the meantime with having seats that are as low as possible to the existing floor and eventually I will swap in my Viewfinder windshield which raises the glass 1.5" in the frame.

There are a few stories here and there on the Internet related to its development. Additionally, in about six months you'll be able to buy a book that details a lot of what he said :).

Not to hijack - Chris - if you get a chance, please ask them whatever happened to the red Bronco II they had for a short while in the 80s. I have one magazine article on it and then it apparently disappeared.
Thanks,
Todd Z.
I've been surprised how little interest this rig has generated the previous times when it's been for sale. I hope you get a good sale on it this time.

Wow! Truly the end of an era! Sorry to see Cactus Red go down the road after so many great trips with you in it. Sounds like the MegaCab will surely make a nice tow rig for the new trailer though. I was re-reading some of your last posts and saw you put an aFe diff cover on it. I was...
Welcome aboard! You have the right attitude about your truck and know its strengths and weaknesses. Mine isn't "ideal" either but it's the one I have and I love it so it does the job. Be sure to check out classicbroncos.com as well if you haven't been there yet. Lots of great resources there...
I don't think they were high on LSD, but they did have a lot of fun! I spoke again last night to the Chief Engineer on the 78-79 Bronco project who also happened to be the inventor of the Twin-Traction Beam front end. I'm mostly a first-gen guy myself too but I like them all.

I must've gotten lucky as both the mounts I have came stock with the dual clamps on them. They work very well in my regular street/trail Bronco and also in our race Bronco that bounces through Baja every year. They're mounted on our tunnel covers and are very easy to access - key when you've...
