every market is different.
Texas has a glutton of trucks. Other areas not so much.
Clean, lower mileage examples that don't have lame modifications are hard to find here in NC, and the prices reflect it.
for the return trip....was it a drive straight through as fast as possible?
are the border crossings easier/quicker coming back? (you would have documentation from the weeks before, etc)
did everyone drive/ride back or did some fly?

thanks for sharing the pics. Pretty sure my next tires are gonna be the Grabber AT2 in 285/75/16.
How are they doing for you? How many miles are on them?
Right over your head. I even threw out Z71 to get you thinking, and then you bring up the 3" ground clearance 2wd 4cyl Tacoma.
Full size. V8. Looks just like an upmarket truck from the outside (z71, lariat, etc) but has manual everything, rough and tough seats, no variable valve timing or...
I'll keep my older cars. they don't yell at you when you don't have on your seatbelt, extra keys cost $3, tires are cheaper, and the list goes on and on. The consumer doesn't want $100 keys and 15" touch screens that will fail. But as soon as one automaker does it, they all have to do it...
is that a rubber pad on the bumper under where the latch is?
did you get all the bumper build parts from Ruff Stuff?
and how it the world did you figure out that the baffling had killed the fuel pump? no way you knew that immediately.
