I have a 22 Frontier SV 4X4. It's a nice truck but payload is limited, just under 1200#. The Pro4X he'd want is even less. There seems to be adequate after market and you can get build inspiration at the Club Frontier forum. https://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/ The Titan is more capable but...
I liked the F150 better but I was having trouble getting good service. I wanted a new truck that I hopefully wouldn't have to worry with for awhile. The Frontier was one of the few trucks actually available at the time. It's a nice vehicle in many ways but a compromise for towing. I've...
Last summer I went from an F150 5.0 to a Frontier. My trailer is only 17', under 3500# with a tongue weight of 400#. You have reasons for going with a mid-size but I think you'll experience some compromises when towing. You'll likely need some clunky clip on mirrors to see past the trailer...
I'll be happy to see availability return. It's annoying to not be able to find what you want. I don't mind MSRP so much. It's been a long time since I fooled myself into thinking I was going to fleece the dealer with my negotiating skills. ;)
Check out the molded fiberglass "egg" trailers. The construction method is not prone to leaks like the more common rubber roof stick built. They hold value so you won't lose a bunch if you decide it doesn't suit you. Read about them here-FGRV
Late here, but... I'm kind of belt and suspenders. I blow out the system, then pump in some pink stuff. Blowing won't clear the pump and pumping won't clear the city water intake. I don't think low point drains would be of much use. There doesn't really seem to be a good way to use the water...
I can't imagine that digging a hole, dumping the gray and throwing dirt over it would be viewed any differently from just dumping it. Anyway, easy enough to ask. With the info for every sort of public land available on the internet you should be able to know before you go. Obviously there...
Choose anything yet? If not you might look at the current version of Nissan Frontier. They are actually available on dealer lots and in theory are better suited for towing than either the 4Runner or Tacoma. I got one a few months ago and have towed my 17' Casita a couple of times. 430#...
I'm sorry, you don't understand what you are looking at or reading. It doesn't matter if you call it luggage or cargo. I expect your door sticker says "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed...." This combined weight is your "payload" but you can call it whatever you...
This is incorrect. The 835# is your payload. Payload includes tongue weight of trailer, hitch, cargo, occupants and any accessories you've added. Spec tongue weight for the Bambi is 430# and the required WDH will be another 100#. OP would have to pack light.
I don't think the warranty is something trailer buyers focus on. As pointed out earlier, most of the stuff that will go wrong, appliances, etc. is not covered by the mfg warranty anyway. Water damage is what kills most trailers and it can be hard to spot during any reasonable warranty period...
Goodyear Endurance is currently the best trailer tire. MUSA and you can get them in D or E rating. Speed rated over 80mph.;)https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/goodyear-endurance Carlisle Radial Trail HD is another good choice but not MUSA, if that matters. The trailer is along for the ride...
