Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Embrace the church van white! Haha. Looks like a clean van. So funny to see guys on expo 13+ years later, that I recognize from ranger and explorer forums. Planning a 4x4 kit, or something from camburg etc?

    MG Metalworks Van Build

Well to be there, that looks a lot better than I expected! Should be interesting to see if the paint does any better if warmed up first. The panel I have should fit in the oven if you want to really give it a good try.

    LED vs HID

If JW speaker makes anything that fits, with their projector style LED I would go that route. I had truck lites on my Jeep and was not impressed. The light output was too blue/purple to be useful in rain, and the light output was very uneven with hot spots ABOVE the main cutoff. Nearly equal...

advantage of custom leaf springs vs lift in rear

Deaver blows, their customer service is absolute garbage. I would never give them a penny after the way they were to me. Good custom progressive leaf springs are great. But any good spring shop can design and build them. OEMs use blocks because they are cheap. They can use the same...

    TPMS calibration solved

I stopped by discount tire today since I remembered seeing a bartec tool last time I was there. They had a bartec 400 pro. I asked the guy if he could change and it, he put in the vehicle info, got into the tool kit to change the psi criteria, plugged into the obd port and it said "vehicle...

    Bendable solar panels

Many of us had renogy flexible panels on four wheel campers. I'd say almost all of them failed within a year or two. Check wanderthewest forum for more info. Initially they were great. Lightweight, profile, reasonably priced. But they just didn't hold up. Really sad. Hopefully something...

    UJOR Build Thread

Haha I saw an old beat up Jetta driving down the road this morning with a cheapo 20" bar zip tied to the crooked front bumper. The day before, a 40" cheapie bolted on the hood of a rusty 30 year old ford ranger. Certainly takes the cool away from something.

    What's Up With Your Switches

Look at switchpros http://switchpros.com Way cooler, more simple and more functional than spod. Spod is a good setup too for someone who isn't too into wiring.

    FWC Fleet on Tacoma?

Really it's up to you. But if you expect to load a fleet, friends, dogs and gear, expect to be 2000lbs over gvwr at least. Some people just throw on heavier tires and air bags and feel likes its ok. I guess if you drive like a grandma and aren't particular about ride quality and safety it...

The not-so-definitive guide to Sienna seats

10" off the floor? Do you like to sit with your feet dangling? The ujoint mount really only moves the seat base an inch or two off of the floor. And while low, it's very comfortable and laid back. More than 4" or so and most adults would probably have their feet dangling.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I finally got my van back home last night, after much frustration with the driveline shop. Huge thanks to Jsweezy and Mgmetalworks for the help on the install of the ujoint 6" conversion. Monday she goes in for a rear axle overhaul with 4.56 gears and ARB and front driveline, then to exhaust.

    Aluminess bumper lighting options

Some of the cheaper ones are fine. A lot of them aren't sealed as well and get moisture in them etc. BUT you're right, they're cheap, and you could buy spares and still be out less money. I chose rigid lights in the front bumper because I have much more faith in them being well sealed and...

    UJOR Build Thread

It will vary but 6" on 35s will be tight. I'm sure my springs will settle a little but, eye balling it in Josh's shop it is only a couple inches under 8'. It looks like it will fit in my 8' garage door now but I highly doubt it will with a top. If you're planning on potentially adding...

    UJOR Build Thread

Ahahaha He could tell us about it but the mods would delete it anyway. On a lighter note, I'll share a couple progress report pics on my rig. ;) 6" ujoint with progressive front springs, stage 2 rsc with 4.56 gears and ARB, dynatrac hubs, fox 2.0 reservoir shocks with adjustable compression...

Shipping Van from TX to CA

If that doesn't work let me know. I'd do it for airfare gas and a few bucks. Might be a week or so but I'd be happy to escape for a few days and visit family in the Bay Area.

5.0 Coyote motor in an E series?

I really wish Ford would have kept producing the e series vans and kept up on the drive train. I would have loved to buy a brand new EB 6.2 six speed.

coin holder delete and replacement with switch panel- how does one do it?

Ujoint sells a little plate for an spod switch panel to go there. Toward the bottom of this page. http://www.ujointoffroad.com/bumpersextras.html I'd like to see something for a switch pros mount but it wouldn't be hard to do.
