    Honda 919 ADV-Lite

Yes, I couldn't stand 'the stink' anymore so I went to a low mount setup. It dropped 17lbs off of top, too! Which I then added back with armor.. ?

    Honda 919 ADV-Lite

I did do a 520 conversion, but I went with a 15/43t setup to help slow down 1st off road. The best thing for mileage so far has been adding a Power Commander V and wideband O2 sensor. I jumped up 6-8mpg, and was able to get 49.6mpg at 75mph fully loaded with all my luggage. Honda has them pig...

Awesome! I also like the fuel mileage better than the F150 when I'm off exploring solo. LOL

    3. Protection. We all start out with the best intentions of staying shiny side up, but as we all know things can take a turn for the worse in a hurry. To that effect, I decided to add a plethora of protection farkles. I sourced a pair of universal hand guards to fit to my Renthal Ultra lows...

Ground clearance. As the 919 is a sport oriented motorcycle, ground clearance is quite a bit less than I'd ideally want when traversing rutted Trails. Taking a page from Ken's trans alp build, I spaced the front fork cartridges up 35mm and relocated the rear shock's upper mount bolt on the...

    Honda 919 ADV-Lite

I'd like to start off with introducing myself, and a little behind the thought process behind building the 919 in this direction. I picked up my 2005 Honda 919 earlier in the year, and found it to be quite good at many things while not truly outstanding at any one thing. A perfect blank canvas...

Thanks! I was going to mount it permanently to the truck, but I like this setup better as I can use it for things other than camping as well.

In addition to the AC, I wanted to add a heat source for when we are camping in the early spring/late fall (or up in the mountains). When it comes to bang for the buck, the knock off diesel heaters are hard to pass up. They will output close to 20k BTU on high, and sip fuel on low. My...

It certainly can, add in humidity and its a swampy mess. The other benefit is we can keep the truck cool at the track in between heats as well.

Getting the family to camp in the heat is similar to pulling teeth, in both effort and enjoyment. So, I scrounged around the lumber scrap pile and cut out a mount out of 3/4" marine grade plywood. I also had an old 5k btu window AC unit that lent itself to the build. It looks a bit redneck...

Kid tested, and approved! I also installed my awning tonight to give us some added weather protection.

The topper pass through is done and sealed. I used an accordion type seal that clips over the topper and window opening. Once the interior is installed, the seal is completely covered and this should prevent any damage from occurring when the pass through is utilized. Next, I'll make some sort...

With camping season around the corner, I installed the platform back in the truck and we went racing! Being able to cook trackside is nice, and the RX8 won it's class!

The F150 has been getting a workout in the snow these past few days! The off road lights work wonders for plowing drives at night.

Amazon, just make sure you get ones that are made from T6 aluminum and that are hubcentric to properly center the wheel and take shearing loads off the studs. Beyond that, retorque the spacers after driving 50-100 miles and recheck at every tire rotation.

A side benefit with having onboard 120V power and 2 batteries is the truck doubles as backup power. I wired 3 Xantrax automatic transfer switches into 3 circuits in my main house box (Kitchen, living room, furnace). I'm able to run the: furnace, fridge, lights, ceiling fan, TV, and charge...

The reviews all seemed to be very positive, so I figured I'd give one a try. Now to pick out a car hauler..

For the upcoming race season, I will be purchasing a race trailer! As fun as it is to camp,, the truck needs to earn its keep as a tow vehicle as well, so today I added a brake controller. The cubby worked out perfect for my trailer brake controller install, keeping it accessible but out of the...

With the added steer angle, and suspension travel, I had a bit of a rubbing issue. To alleviate this, I installed 1.5" thick hub centric wheel spacers. Aesthetically I feel it has improved a bit as well, so thats a win!
