    Baselining a '07 Jeep Liberty w/ 150,000 miles

I'd just run it until you need to change it. I believe a lot of failed cores stem from people not doing routine coolant flushes.

    Baselining a '07 Jeep Liberty w/ 150,000 miles

The most common issues I've witnessed from the Libertys usually revolves around failed: window regulators, heater core/evaporator, and rocker arms popping off (3.7L V6, don't Rev it hard when cold). I did have a customer bring one for me to routinely work on, and it had just over 400k miles so...

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

A good friend of mine is building out an '13 raptor and he says similar things, I just have a hard time leaving things alone.. The next mods will be based around the camper setup (diesel heater, pass through accordion, etc). They should be in next week.

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

Both front raptor shocks are installed now, rounding out the suspension setup. So far, I can say it rides extremely plush and is very controlled when going over railroad crossings that completely unload the suspension.

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

Today I installed a Hopkins Easy Lift torsion spring and a DeeZee shock damper on the tailgate, and I think it'll be quite handy. My spunky daughter Eyva tested it, as my before and after test subject. Before, she struggled and couldn't quite lift it. After, she was amazed!

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

My factory headlights were fading rather badly, and the factory beam pattern on the 10th gens is miserable at best to begin with. To remedy it, I went to a Lightning/Harley style headlight with blacked out surround to match the front of the truck a bit better. It freshened up the nose quite...

Build - Frontier with ARE DCU topper

I did a lower profile bed platform at just above wheel well level, then had 3 pull out drawers beneath it. I really like being able to load the beds length worth of storage without having to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly. For my needs, I think the sweet spot is similar to your idea...

Build - Frontier with ARE DCU topper

It looks great, and I'm doing very similar things with mine! I too think I'll be using polysio or XMP foam, as its hard to beat for price and insulation value. I'm jealous of the barn style doors, I wish my topper had them.

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

Here is the Pro Comp adapter I used, as well as the Live valve delete kit. If you don't delete the Live Valve, the compression will be pretty stiff (valve is set to full hard with power removed). The other alternative is to use a set from a Gen 1 with 2.5" shocks as they did not utilize the...

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

I was in the same boat as you, and I emailed BTF about his UCAs. The caveat with them is they're a uni ball joint, and they don't last long when exposed to salt. As a daily driver, that doesn't work for me. I may ask him if he would consider fabricating a set with Icon delta joints instead...

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

Very nice! You can trim 3/4 of the upper bump stop off the control arm and get a bit more droop travel. I trimmed the up bump stop an 1" to squeeze a bit more that way as well. I had a set of custom bushings made with a .500" ID and 20mm OD to bring the lower bushing down to the bolt size on...

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

One down, one to go (ran out of time today). I disassembled a set of 2020 Raptor front struts, cut off the spring perch, and utilized them as shocks to match my rear Raptor shocks. Both trucks have very similar front axle weight, linear rate springs, and 2:1 wheel to shock travel ratio. The...

    2020 F150 "BAWG Build"

I may be a bit biased, but I think a F150 makes a great overland platform. I'm looking forward to seeing what gets done next!

Suburban vs Excursion for Family of 8

The Excursions are very solid with good aftermarket support, I would just avoid the 6.0 if at all possible unless it's 'bullet proofed'. The current price disparity between gas and diesel can easily be $10k+, so you have to decide if you really need the extra pulling power. For me, I'd rather...

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

The font is actually from an 11th gen F-150, I believe. It looks very very similar.

10th Generation F-150 Overland build (The Craptor)

I felt the black topper and black lower rockers needed tied together aesthetically, plus is it even four wheel drive without decals? It added 10hp per sticker, to boot!

The upgraded MPPT charge controller has been installed, and should allow for more efficient charging.

    Prevolander 93 Bronco

I fondly remember my 1985 Bronco I had in high school, they're quite capable rigs when lifted a little! It looks great, keep up the good work.
