ALWAYS the way! Get something done and the newest and greatest comes out!
My wife dislikes our current flares more than I do, but I still do not like them either!
She sent me a picture of that truck yesterday :) Not sure if I am sold on that design but I like the fact they follow the lines...
THANK YOU for the report and the work on sourcing shocks for the Kelderman set up. When we get a bit further down the road build wise and weight wise I look forward to a shock "upgrade".
SWEET!!
CHEERS!!
We enjoyed the trip! Now back to WORK!
I took the truck out for a test run on Monday before we left. I found that the factory track bar and the Buck Stop track bar relocation bracket made the front axle favor the drivers side. I knew it would due to the fact the BS bracket is made for a...
Well after a few long build months and the last 12 days of 10 hour days we are taking Manny, we picked a name (short for Emmanuel), out for a trip! It is my wife's birthday weekend, who needs a better excuse!
We will be "mini" camping in the rig but a getaway is NEEDED! We have food, power...
Vance,
I can TOTALLY relate to the bathroom scale! Glad my shop is only 20 feet away from the build. I have lost track of how many times I go back and fourth. I can get 10,000 steps in and never leave the hanger :)
AWESOME build! It will be fun to watch your progress! HUGE undertaking...
You are correct 5201 and 5301. They were $350 each all wired up with the breakers of your choice.
I spent the last few days wiring them up and they are well made and pretty easy to work with.
Still LOTS of wires in one place. Having an auto stop crimper and good connectors helped a BUNCH!
I...
Vance,
I will follow along. I have read your thread now and then and never put 2 and 2 together when you were commenting on mine. Project brain fry....LOL!
NICE work!
CHEERS!
Craig
Vance,
GOOD LOOKING wood work in the Van. The bath looks WELL DONE!
Bamboo is really nice to work with. Hard as maple but with a new Diablo 80 tooth blade it cuts like butter and no end fray. We are using Odie's dark finish on our bamboo. What finish did you use in the Van? I like the...
THANKS! NO voltage drop here! :)
We used 3/4" ID between the tanks. IT takes 5 min to "equalize" when the first tank is almost full. Takes 15 min to fill both tanks. YES...the vents do vent directly to the outside, no trapped air or fluid.
Sagging....hmmm, I will keep an eye on that. I...
We used a mix of 1/2" and 3/4". I have to admit the 3/4" is HEAVY but we are not using a truck load of it. We glued and back screwed the 3/4", hidden in the 8020, and just glued the 1/2". There are places where we want to remove panels for inspections and maintenance, we drilled and put...
Vance,
Thank you for the kind words! We have BUSY on the camper the last few weeks and just neglecting posting! LOTS going on at one time. We are trying to get ready for a trip next week in this beast!
A good sized inside shower was in our plan from the start. The outside shower RARELY...
I was PM'd about the bag mounting offset.
Picture worth a 1000 words.
Kelderman mount with new hole drilled for the bag offset plate. If you look closely, top left, you can see the plate. I aligned the air bag, offset plate and the Kelderman mount for the best alignment. Marked the...
Yes on the diagonals, was not the "final" picture.
I am deciding on 2 recovery points I already purchased, weld on, or bolt on (grade 8 of course) recovery hooks/loops on the base plate near the corners, pulls on the 1/2" plate grade 8 bolted to the truck frame...
