Will do. I have raam mat on the way, a big roll of 2" thinsulate, a roll of reflectix (will be getting more), etc etc. I still haven't seen a shipping notice on the carpeted liner though so it may be a while.
Ahh yes. I just order the wise industries kit myself after looking at this thread a couple days ago. Hope it works out well. I'm putting my cash into so many other parts of the van, not a bunch left for interior right now.
Ah man it makes me sad to see these posts about CCV over and over. :(
His stuff looks good in picture (usually) but the details really make it sad. Best of luck with your rig.
Nice work! It is really a useful skill to be able to do some basic stuff. I haven't sewed anything in 10+ years. I made some black out curtains for my 4x4 VW van, and a few padded cases for radios etc. I bought my wife a sewing machine a few years ago and it has mostly collected dust. I may...
I considered the same earlier. I gave up because It all depends on how the top is cut. Most high top installs cut the roof very close to the edge. The sportsmobile top is cut further in, and further back from the windshield. I couldn't get hard measurements on either so I bailed on the idea...
Completely unrelated to the van build, but I'm working on my charcoal cooking skills on your aluminum BBQ tonight. I get tons of questions any time I use it somewhere so I'm trying to make my stuff look better. ;)
Jeremy you oughta pitch this BBQ to Gretchen and Taylor for their rental. ;)
Maybe I missed it, but is this replacing the old fuel tank or supplementing it?
My future plans included rear underfloor storage and house battery storage etc. BUT I would much rather do a 55 gallon tank out back, and mount larger house batteries under the middle of the chassis.
Looking good...
The most obvious answer would be the you need to pay for the van. Or at least the cost above blue book/ACV.
Otherwise you have to find a very wiling lender, who might allow someone to do a market value assessment on a rig, and financing a portion of that assessed amount. As long as it was...
Nice car! Might be the wrong crowd here but good luck with the sale. My wife just totaled our 2010 golf tdi, I would highly consider this to replace it, if I hadn't bought a new GLI in December. Our GLI is similarly equipped and it is a great car. Driver assist and adaptive HID lighting are...
Yep and the low mileage v10s seem to sell the same day the ads post. Anyone successfully use an f150 5.4 supercharger with minimal fab?
Mgmetalworks, want yet another project!?!? Lol
Rented a 2wd 5.4 sportsmobile with weekend. It works. Got there and back, but could sure be better.
I've been hunting for the right late model v10 and just can't find it. Occasionally one pops up online and it's gone the next day. I want the extra power and the 5 speed auto.
I had the 5.4l in my 06 f150 (made slightly more power than your 01), mild lift on 35s with an engine and...
Looks like a nice rig! It doesn't fit my needs of forward facing seats for a toddler and infant, but I'm sure it wi make a great van for someone. Good luck with the sale!
I bet it does well! I got a chance to drive this van last week, it felt very stable and tracked very well. It definitely felt better than my buddy's f350 on 6" lift with 35s.
Excited to see this build continue!
That looks like one I had on my shopping list, but hadn't sold my truck and camper yet. :( Searching for another late model low mileage V10 EB now.
This van looks great! It's hard to tell from the video, is the body white or silver?
