You would likely be amazed by what you can learn in the manuals (all of them), you may even get a better idea which product you prefer.

I think its weird that this discussion always tends to point to the euro models. As I understand it very little is shared between the two other than looks.
Why not look to the Ford USDM model vehicles that have the SAME available 3.5L ecoboost (as the Transit) and AWD?

Problem is weight! Those are 4x8 sheets of 1" steel I'm parked on. There is 200 yards length 6 sheets wide laid down to keep the semis that put them there from getting stuck in the mud.

For those following the door rebuild above, I was having some technical difficulties and went back and edited the info, continued here....
While the epoxy dried I used Dorman kit to replace my hinge pins. My door was sagging and required some adjusting but you just cant beat repining...
Here is an angle to consider, an open diff sucks!
You will likely find if you are in snow, mud, wet grass, etc.with a heavy vehicle, that you will want a diff in the front so re-gearing isn't so much of an issue "while you are in there".
