I did "adjust" my old box and it felt good for a while but then slowly degraded. This box says not to touch the set screw or it will void their warranty.
As for healing up, its been a long slow recovery.
Continued camperizing….
My chateau van (like most) came with the second row removable...
Thanks for posting Gregor, super frustrating I'm sure.
I don't think the frame flexing, shaking all over is causing the wobble it's a result. The tires start wobbling back and forth long before the oscillations get to the mounts and frame. Sure, that stuff needs to be stronger to take the...
Howdy, interested in pics, pricing, and more details of your van 4x4 conversion kits with coilovers.
The pics in your for sale ad don't seem to be loading.
Thanks,
Brian
So the 05 and up coil spring axle conversion is becoming a "coil over shock" conversion?
Like with adjustable ride height Coil overs?
Is there going to be any reasonably priced shocks or is this putting us into King shock category?
I guess I'm standing by for more
Not sure about the v6 for space? It's what was in the van you are replacing, same 3.0 displacement even.
Have you measured the length of your I4? You might find that since it's one cylinder longer than a v6 that it won't fit.
You should call Advance Adapters and see if they are willing to make...
Some thoughts on this as I think Sprinter shells ARE going to need inexpensive re-motor options.
The MB motors are to expensive to purchase/rebuild, and the service tech doing the work falls into the same expensive category.
I would suggest a 2gr-fe, http://mywikimotors.com/toyota-2gr/
3L v6...
Be optimistic, maybe you will get a refund AND keep the unit. As I'm sure they wouldn't want to return ship.
Then maybe test their parts department for replacement parts, cover, etc.
I took the Red (head steering gear) pill, and I like it.
The is no play in this steering gear. Although it did unmask a worn out moog tie rod end with 35k miles. I put it on order.
Locking front diff can be had,

I would rather have a pop up than a Ford 6.0 motor (earthroamer).
You can get removable hardwall kits for the Earthcruiser I believe.
It's almost as if these were built for exactly what you want to do,

Nice, I have considered a similar approach.
Is it noisy? seems like the loose fitting pockets for the horizontal bars and the "pinging" and "gonging" of the huge steel sheet panels could get chaotic. Having a mattress on it or cinched against the sides is enough maybe?
