Hiya
I was wondering if you had meant a wire from the chassis and copper earth pin when not hooked up, in which case does a relatively rubbish earth make any difference in any way? Like the access ladder in many cases for instance?
Our last camper hooked up gave me tingles a couple of times...
Costco UK had the Instant pot, made in China! But I like our WMF pressure cooker much better :)
Years ago I was given a hook up cable that the earth lead came out of the plug to a long spike to whack in the ground. But I was later told that would be very dangerous, can't remember why, but never...
We have a 220v Instant Pot :)
You would need to choose wether to go for a universal charger which won't mind what you give it, or for instance a 220v charger with a 110v to 220v transformer for it's input as and when required. You would have to then check which you're going to give it and switch...
That's why I'm at first going to just poke the hose through the window. I'd need a step to reach an external filler and I'm not sure yet which would be a bigger pain to do!
Hi folks
Since campers need holes in the floor to let the likes of propane out, as well as vents to let fresh air in even when windows etc are all closed up, what have you done to stop dust coming in while driving?
I know some companies use a positive pressure inlet vent with a filter on, anyone...
I just watched both the toilet clips above and the cassette one was a better advert for composting!
I've had a black tank over three years full time use in Europe and struggled to empty it on occasion. We've also had a built in cassette in a few different vehicles which is what 99% in Europe...
Having just looked on ebay UK some of the cheaper ones don't explicitly say they are of the crash tested legal to fit type?
A few years ago any frame could be bolted down in the UK, once crash tested became required the price rocketed and the cheaper ones kind of disappeared for a bit. It's...
Neil something went wonky with the Seagull UK distributor a year or two ago I think, the companies website attached says order direct now? Not sure what happened?
Another suggestion might be to put them behind an anonymous looking door? Or, considering the height they may end up being at, do they need locking?
The RV fillers I have also have a small connection for the air vent included, so open to fill and it's vented, closed and that's shut too.
Hiya
You can keep scrubbing and using the ceramic Katadyn filters. I was suggesting that the quite large price Famous Water charge seems to be from their very well made housings rather than what goes in them. Mirroring what Mr Dolde has is quite spendy! So the same cartridges in a cheaper...
To be slightly back on topic, while the Katadyn Ceradyn and Carbodyn filter elements that Famous Water use are not too costly, their housings soon add up! Housing them in something else might be an idea if you aim to have them in parallel for higher flow rates.
Hiya
Our U1700 two person camper with 395 tyres ended up at about 9500kg loaded and with two spares tyres, no motorbike ;) . Now there are three of us we no longer have a Mog. Ages ago in a UK 4x4 magazine was a feature on a Mog camper with a bike plus sidecar on the front bumper! Probably...
How will you control camper coolant water temperature?
You seem to suggest doing that for the air blown heater inlet and for the underfloor? As far as I know a domestic underfloor heating system has the hot water from whatever source blended down to the required temperature with mains cold...
Hi
If you are having a plate exchanger between engine and camper circuit then turning off the engine pre-heating pump will stop camper heat getting into the block, valve not needed? Or if it is you only need one to stop the flow at least.
What is the normal starting temperatures a Mog is...
Hiya
As for sealant you could just ask Sika, they seem quite helpful. I've been using 552 with their aktivator 205. I also know of some folks in the uk who used a decent adhesive/sealant to glue solar panels on their roof which came away at the paint/vehicle body joint. A section of aint was...
