Three options to deal with the flex.
1) I designed the shell to be cut between the front two ribs and install a rubber accordion trim. This is what most expedition trucks use.
2) I could stiffen the frame and do not cut the shell. The is only 3/8" flex when my Gladiator is maxed out. Jeeps...
Here’s a nice find for those that can’t leave the internet behind. I have a CMM grab bar ball mount with an IPad RAM mount. Works great for streaming videos (not while driving).

Yep, it's even running with a 13" CRT monitor! My 30 year old computer is still running with AutoCAD 2000. Can't justify buying a new version of AutoCAD, while this works fine. I can't believe it's still running.

Since I have a plan for the corners, it's time to start the Roof Top Tent Hardtop. Below is a rough design, where I will build the frame first, and skin it with the fiberglass panels and corners. The blue tape shows the outline of the hardtop.

Started fiberglassing the interior of the shell this weekend. I had to flip it over to do the underside of the roof. I think it's still under 150lbs. The roof top tent is going to be challenging to make. I might have to make a mold to get what I want, or try a rib and skin, like the bottom.
