    Airbag and suspension upgrade questions

That rear sway bar will limit axle flex and travel... so will air bags unless you run day star cradles. Get some rear air bags, they are all about the same, do not plumb them together, keep them separate and gone some day star cradles for them. The cradles allow you to run zero psi in them when...

    2019 Tundra

FYI 3500 trucks still have rear leaf springs. I had a 14 2500 with rear coils, I was very impressed by how well it did, towed and hauled better than my 06 3500 it replaced.

I drive that exact same truck every day, it’s a 2018 with 3:30 gears, I’m lucky to get over 15 on the highway.

Titan spare tire replacement fuel tank

Truck is not done yet, the decked storage system became kind of a pain if you want to mount the filler in the bed, the decked system had to be pulled out, trimmed and reinstalled. Should be done tomorrow and I’ll post some pics.

Interesting article comparing the Nissan/Cummins to the f150/PS.

Your right dealers can do that, I’ve only owned dodge cummins trucks, accept for one duramax. A friend talked me into getting a GMC DuraMax truck because “they are so much better than the Ram”. I bought one brand new, got off the lot and the check engine light came on with less than 20 miles on...

Interesting article comparing the Nissan/Cummins to the f150/PS.

Who’s he? I didn’t check out the bottom link. I’ve seen a stripped down one for 38 to 39. Doesn’t seam like they are selling many, a local Nissan dealer marked the prior years models way down for a bit. I’ve heard the Nissan with the cummins is a good truck, kinda bridge the gap between a half...

Titan spare tire replacement fuel tank

Update: it’s at my buddies shop, today he should get it done. I wish I had time to tackle this project myself, with work and a child free time is hard to come by.

Need help on picking a 3/4 ton

Square body gm vehicles in my opinion are the best trucks ever made. I spent allot of time around them growing up, they are very solid, easy to work on and run no madder what. My buddies dad had a 79 Chevy that he refused to get rid of, 350, 400 trans, 205 transfer case, 14 bolt rear d60...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Yes! Years ago growing up we had Brittany spaniels for pheasant hunting and used an suv, not a good idea. When you get a wet dog with mud on them that’s been running ina field all day long you don’t want that on carpet... that smell doesn’t come out.

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

I met an engineer that worked for Toyota and worked in a project around 2007 or so where they build a drw tundra with a hino Diesel engine. He said Toyota talked about building it for the us market, but there was a ton of emissions regulations and other issues it would have to meet which were...

Need help on picking a 3/4 ton

My 04 ram, we were throwing concrete pieces in the bed, you could see dents all over the bottom of the bed. I wouldn’t do that to any newer truck, espically one made of aluminum. I could punch a hole in the bed of a ford truck with a piece of concrete... and very easily.

Need help on picking a 3/4 ton

Sure you can do that if your careful and don’t throw it in, I put a old real estate sign in the bed of my work f150 to take to the firearms range, it slide just right and went right threw the bottom corner of the tailgate. A guy at work was backing up his f150 and a branch from a tree hit right...

Need help on picking a 3/4 ton

Most affordable, fuel efficient 4x4 set up

I didn’t think about that... that’s true, my 1 ton ram cummins, running 37 inch tires and 900 ftlbs of torque gets better mpg than my father in laws stock tundra.

Most affordable, fuel efficient 4x4 set up

I agree, Toyota makes great products and all of their vehicles have geat resale. For a small truck I love the Tacoma, I just wish it had lockers as an option. If I were in the small truck market it would be hard not to get a zr2, due to several desirable options it offers vs Toyota which doesn’t...

Most affordable, fuel efficient 4x4 set up

I think it’s because they are light duty, just like you don’t see allot of any other make half tons, if your going the truck route, hauling allot of gear and turning larger tires, your better off with a 3/4 ton on up.
