One sold locally, it was an 08 but a gasser and was bare inside (stock van seats) it also had a roof rack, ladder and grill guard. I think it had around 100k on it and as in great shape. It sold for 29k, they wouldn’t budge on the price and it went for that here.
Wow I didn’t know they were that high, around here I can get a Nissan cummins for 40k or sometimes less... I don’t think they are selling many of them.
We bought a 1 year old preimier with every option including black 22 inch rims and gm rubber floor kit with 10k for 52... we went used due to how much you can save vs new, that same Tahoe new we specd out was 68k.
I got to be honest, 900 ftlbs of torque, 4:30 gears, low geared aisin trans makes towing anything a total breeze and fun to drive... but my old 04 5.9 with 555 ftlbs of torque got me by just fine and did decent on fuel. I wish ram would keep the g56 and the lower output cummins. My next truck...
I think the Colorado would be too small to sleep in, I’m 6’3 and it’s tight in the back of my full-size ram. Why not a tundra or Nissan with the cummins if your going half ton route? I got an 18 f150 for work... that amount of problems that thing has makes me surprised anyone would own one.
I had a CAT filter set up on my old 5.9, I think the new multi stage nanonet fleetgaurd filters, which filter down to 2 micron are good enough. I think I would go with an air dog or FASS if I were to go that route again.
Topper lights look great! FYI genos garage is the place to go for filters! They also have a finger to inch drain valve that works great and you get no mess, fumoto makes it, I put a small hose clamp around the lever so there’s no way anyone that knows them could drain the oil without a tool...
It’s weird, cummins recommends valvoline, but ram says run rotella in the manual. My local ram dealer runs rotella. FYI the molar filters are fleetgaurd.
