The drawers now reside in my FJ next to my fridge and is what I put all my kitchen gear in. I found having the drawers in the trailer limited what I could carry in the main cargo box. The drawers just fit in the FJ and they are almost the same height as the fridge so it works out great.
Actually we had a homebuilt tear drop before the Horizon, that we really liked but it didn't have much ground clearance and also had some issues that would have cost more to correct than it was worth. I had a chance to tow the AT tear drop around at the first Overland Expo and knew that was what...
Thanks Tony for the props, it is in great shape and will make someone a nice camping rig. For me its the bomb (think man fort), but Susie is just not comfortable with climbing the ladder up to the rtt, she did give it a try and would continue to do it if I ask her to, but why have her do...
The mount came off my ex 2005 Power Wagon, includes roller fair lead and 2 brackets to mount to frame. Will not fit on Cummins powered Dodge trucks. $150.00 plus shipping (warning-it's heavy!). PM with email for pics.
Horizon has been sold, thanks Jason enjoy it!
I'am selling my 2007 AT Horizon. It is in very good shape, never been rolled or flopped on its side, does have a few scratches and some rock chips on the frame. It has been used but not abused.
The AT options it has:
Nose box
19 gal. water tank...
Great advice. With my wife as long as she is warm, dry and has a bathroom close by shes happy, if I don't meet these basic things I may as well bring a grizzly bear camping with me. A comfy sleeping surface is always a good thing.
Having the GF/wife putting in some sweat equity/ideas is a good...
Really like our Tempurpedic at home but might be a little heavy for the trailer, have you looked at the Froli sleep system? It allows for air circulation under the mattress you currently have and is light weight. If I still had our Globetrotter tent I would have tried this out although I found...
Thanks for the report Dave. I'am putting our Horizon up for sale also and getting a SoCal TD sometime this year. I was on their new website yesterday and it looks like they are coming out with a new offroad model, very basic but alot less $$ could be a good option for people who can't/ wont...
:victory: Teardrops rock! I've been eyeing the 459 krawler kit trailer that SCT is offering @ about 5k less than the ready to go version. Currently have a Horizon that I like alot (major man fort), but the wife isn't as impressed with it as I am. We had a homebuilt TD before the Horizon that we...
I picked up a AMK kit when I did mountain bike patrol, we added a few extra items including a sand splint. Most of us in the patrol only had basic 1st aid/cpr training and there was a couple of items that I wasn't really
comfortable using, but are theory was there is a chance that there would...
