    Rotopax fuel packs

Very interested in what you have going for the FJ. I just bought a couple 2 gal water tanks and mounts locally, in process of figuring out how and where I'am going to install in the FJ. I plan on getting more water tanks and some fuel tanks in the near future also.

Cruise Moab 2011 Registration Opened Last Night. (1-10-2011)

Thanks Kurt, I will keep an eye out for the updates. I haven't told the wife yet either, probably should let the boss know also. The NP Service doesn't allow dogs in the back country.

Cruise Moab 2011 Registration Opened Last Night. (1-10-2011)

Just registered and signed up for the SR Swell trip also. Will I be able to take my trailer on this or should I put my RTT on the FJ?

    Campfire Awning / Shelter ideas

That was my first thought. Maybe instead of changing awning/windblock change the heat source, I use a propane portable campfire, works good and no smoke.

    RTT Questions

I have a Ezi-Awn 1400 on a EXP Bajarack mounted on my FJ Cruiser. I don't know the size of the EXP rack for your JK is but on my FJ its only large enough to fit the 1400 (54" L) without overhanging the rack. I think the 1400 is OK for 2 people and a 20lb dog that like each other, but may not...

    Chaser water pump

Metal will crack/break also when the water freezes, I drain my tank and don't use it after the temps get that low.

How durable is an AT trailer?

:Wow1: I have been a believer in your products for quite awhile now, this just re-affirms my belief. Looking at the hitch that was a huge hit, hope they are all ok. :Wow1:

Equipt has all Front Runner Water Solutions in Stock!

I have used the 40L rack mount water tank, I had it mounted inside my FJ close to over the rear axle. I really liked it, It had the capacity I needed, was well made and held the tank securely. Unfortunately it ultimately didn't work for my particular situation, I had to mount it with the water...

    Nice aluminum rear storage boxes?

Aluminum river rafting dry boxes are great for overlanding. I had one custom made for me at All Metals in Grand Junction. It wasn't cheap to have made but I got the exact size and shape that I needed (couldn't find a pre-made one that was even close to the size I needed) and the quality is top...

    Stove and Grill box....

I have a campchef 2 burner and a single burner grill box that I had used alot in the past, due to size and weight constraints with the current camping rig I have gone to a partner steel stove. The grill box works great IMO, its small but perfect size for 2. When our home BBQ grilled died I just...

Off-road Teardrop: Adventure Trailers Overland Teardrop

I couldn't agree with you more, You are already seeing RV dealers selling/stocking TD style and smaller trailers. The amount of interest from people where ever we went with are TD was crazy, reminds me of when I was a kid (about 50 years ago) we had one of the first slide in truck campers and we...

Thanks Rex, TD's really do need roof vents for good ventilation.

Off-road Teardrop: Adventure Trailers Overland Teardrop

^ thats about what I figured it would tow like. My former TD had its axle placed well to the rear of the frame which at hiway speeds it followed the tow vehicle very well, but didn't go over offroad obstacles so well plus the fact it didn't have alot of ground clearance either. I have a...

Off-road Teardrop: Adventure Trailers Overland Teardrop

I got to tow the AT teardrop around @ the first Overland Expo during the offroad trailer class and even though it was not very technical terrain at that site it was obvious it would be very capable of going almost anywhere your tow rig could take it. The coach/cabin is built very stout (which is...

    Wiring Comments for Trailers

So true. Back when I was a motorcycle mechanic I saw thousands of dollars of damaged done because of bad grounds. The first thing to always look for when there is a electrical issue is if there is a good ground.

    Partner stoves

I have used both campchef and partner steel stoves. Both stoves work great even at high altitudes (10,000'+). The downside of the campchef was its size and weight like you said in your OP. I got the partner because I downsized my camping rig and needed the space/weight savings it gave me, with...

New to truck campers what kind to get?

One thing to keep in mind is older slide in campers don't always fit into newer trucks, bed sizes have changed over the years even if both are fullsize. Check the 4wd website they have a fitchart that will give you a good idea on what will work. Secondly, In the $1000 price range you will be...
