I used those. They do fit but good luck finding an alignment shop willing to work with them. I ended eyeballing my alignment, good road manners but some outer shoulder wear.
It is all in the link I posted. I think those are the leaves I used. I was able to re-use everything but the U-Bolts. In general, you do not want to re-use U-bolts
I probably got about 1.5" to 2.0" of lift with those springs form the worn out OEMs. In combination with the new rear leaf springs and shock, the handling was quite good. "Sports car" firm but no "delivery truck" harsh.
Vans are a niche market in the US. Insane people doing weird things to those vans are a niche within a niche. Do not expect a lot of resources dedicated to modified vans. I am extremely thankful to forums like this.
On my 2000 E150 I used the CC880 and it lifted a couple of inches. Getting the right Camber was almost impossible even with 3deg. multi adjustment cams. I tried the the CC880S in my 2010 E350 and change them to CC880. I think the CCC880S on the 5.4 will give you more lift than what you can...
I finished the bug screen for the barn door. This is Texas, so any opening will be used by, specially the mosquitos, to share the bed with you. I used in the pass a screen on the outside of the door, but wanted something more sleek. The main challenge was to allow the opening mechanism to work...
Mine. Still need some finishing touches like power for a light and phone chargers, the top is intended to be used as cubby and cup holder when in driving mode. Fits with the captain chairs and when in camper mode, (no second row chairs) it can be open from the inside.
I had a 2000 E150 5.4l that I used in similar fashion for over 10 years. 9.75 rear end. I installed a factory Ford LSD and with decent AT tires did quite well. BFG AT and Cooper AT# were very good and never got any issues. I run Goodyear Fortera one season and they were terrible. LSD was a good...
For the last few weeks I've been working on the Door Galley. The goal was to hold the stove, have a fold down surface to work that could be open and used from the inside. Room for spice rack, some cooking utensils. Also I wanted to be useful for just driving so the top is a cubby for the second...
I'll bet that you can get the fenders from any van up to 2007. I never did a side by side comparison, but most of the mounts on my 2010 seem to be the same as my previous 2000 (save from the different front style).
Lots of people are doing a +2008 swap on older vans and it seems that they only...
I have 305/68r18 tires and went from 3.73 to 4.10 gears. I am quite pleased. The ratio from stock tires/gear to the new ones remained unchanged. I am quite pleased with it. If you go to 4.10 your combined ratio will be shorter than mine, which may
a good thing if you do towing or mountain...
You should install a motorcycle hitch carrier on the 40 and carry a dual sport bike. They also make bicycle carriers for motorcycles. You’ll be unstoppable!!!! ?
