The 50 / 50 2nd row split in the LC / Lexus was a a major disadvantage over the 60/40 regarding kids and 3rd row use. Also the space between the 3rd tow and 2nd row ment any kids in booster seats had feet resting on the shoulders of the 2nd row passenger. Sequoia that was a non issue even had 3...
I replaced a low mileage Cherry J80 with a 07 Sequoia because we had two kids and a local grandparent we saw daily and multiple times a week had 5 in the car. Not to burst your 470 bubble but the Sequoia is a superior hauler in every way except perceived status.
The deep rear cut 2nd row doors...
Rubicon Jeep stock with basic recovery gear is plenty for the tat. Once you get out west your more likely going to need wild fire, fire equipment ?. Joking sort of...
Exactly what I was thinking! Stock Ranger did most of it and he wrote a big blog about it. It’s not the Rubicon lol, which is why the “Rubicon” is called such. LOL
Wise choice on vehicle kids and the mid sized trucks don’t work once your doing stuff beyond local trips. I’m a firm believer in 1/2 to 80% max on the loaded trailer vs TV on weight. Especially if you have long trips on the planner. Having that buffer just gives you a superior towing experience...
Haven’t bothered, I have a 4ahr, 6ahr and 2ahr battery they have been getting non stop use this fire prep season zero issues. Only machine thats burned through all of those in one go was the line trimmer. Chainsaw and limber last way way longer than I or the amount of stuff I’m cutting lol.
General region? Sorry to hear. I just upgraded a first generation Ring camera to the current stuff. Wow better and more features. I have 3, two solar bird house err cameras that are awesome and the door bell camera. Integration with Alexa and a smart light switch has really made lighting options...
Basic cargo trailers are a really hot theft item. We have a few big racing sailboats talking 40+ ft that use old beat cargo trailers as gear storage lockers at our fenced and gated club. We had a Toyota FJ hook up to a 7x14 that hadn’t moved in two yrs setup as a locker and tool shop tongue...
Just rough numbers that 2.7 with 36 gallon tank. My last big trip with my Toyota? LoL it would have been like 6 fewer fuel stops??.
Traveling with that 2.7 36gal combo and family in their Toyota would have been like a constant “nah I’m good but we’ll meet you at the park we’ll go let the kids...
Just made the move from 4.7L yota Sequoia to 2019 3.5l Expedition. So far beyond happy and likely never owning a yota again. Wifes ride is a 2016 Fusion Titanium Energi its been flawless and super nice car.
Sounds like the 2021 2.7 heavy tow pack can be had with 36 gallon tank??. Geeze. Also got a 2k bump in tow capacity.
That would make for one hell of a long distance rig.
To be fair the F150 and Expedition have a really tight turning radius considering their size. My expedition is only just very slightly larger space needed in practical Uturns than my Subaru Outback which surprises me every few weeks lol.
It does really help when getting through tight areas.
As mentioned the 2.7 in the last say 2 yrs has been really solid. It’s put into a few vehicles in slightly different versions so Ford had to get it sorted fast or it was going to cost them big.
As a most current version 3.5 owner I would totally shop the 2.7. In fact if I were shopping vehicles...
Warranty fix and for a few months the bigger issue was parts availability causing people to be in a rental for a few weeks waiting on parts
Cold start ie first morning start up loud sound. Pretty easy to spot. Lots of pretty good videos on YouTube ?
Were these fund raisers? I mean I’ve seen people drop $10,000 on a wine basket worth $1000 then put it back up for Auction in the same event just to raise more $$$$$$$ for the cause
All that matters is EV range and combined range in a given terrain etc. My plug-in hybrid does about 12 miles EV only when driven hard-18-20miles when driven like a hyper mile nut.
Depending on terrain, speeds etc full battery and fuel tank I can do 750 miles before needing a refill or...
Cam issue isn’t affecting all trucks. Mechanic buddy says he thinks Fords parts supplier pulled a switch on material type to a cheaper material very common issue in the Auto biz right now. The old switcher oo to cheaper materials once your quality part gets the approval.
