Out west/mid-west most of the highways are 75-80 mph speed limits. Try going 55-60mph when the speed limit is 75-80mph, it gets scary haha. I was disappointed with my fuel economy in the beginning but it is what it is.

I would do a OM606 (or OM605) swap. Diesel, tons of power, reliable, can run a mechanical injection pump to simplify the wiring, and they are readily available for cheap!

Yup tapped right into the rigs propane system. Used it up in Taos last week when a cold front came thru and nights were in the teens and it’s snowed about 8”. Ran it for 3 days straight keep the rig comfortable the whole time. Still need to test it more but I think it’s going to work out great.

Still on the road exploring the country. Modified some things in the camper to accommodate a new stove and some extra storage. Got caught up in 6” of snow Taos NM last week so we booked it south. Probably spend the winter on the gulf ?

We’ve spent the late spring/summer in that area too! Montana is my favorite place to spend the summer months. Idaho is a close second.
