I think you biggest problem is going to be hitting your “mid teens MPG” while also getting 4x4, 33”+ tires, and over a foot of ground clearance. Even with a sprinter, once lifted and on 33s or bigger your going to be hard pressed to get mid teens. My buddy I’m traveling with has a E350 7.3...
Had to put the back strap on to lock them bad boys in 4x4 mode
I slid off the trail once and winched right out. My buddy in the green van got stuck twice, but one of those times took three max track attempts to get him out. He was in the bank on the high side of the trail with a drop off...
Out in Utah and got caught in a canyon durring some unexpected rain. This red clay turns to the slickest nastiest mud ever. 10miles from the nearest paved road made for a fun day using all our recovery skills/tools! Best part was the 50ft drop off the left side of the road and the hairy switchbacks!
I’ve thought about it but the big concern is the weight limitation even on load range E tires on a big rig like ours.
I’m on a 6” Baja GG lift and I wouldn’t have cleanernce to run a 35” tire. Not without re-shaping the rear arch of the rear fender.
As for snow, drw will great with all that...
Quick little video showing how she goes in the snow! We got about 12” of snow overnight, had to help 3 other people out the lot that were blocking the exit. Then I pulled right out! That night at Copper Ski resort the parking lot was a ******** show. Probably got another 8-10” during the day. Must...
They still work great! Make sure to purchase the metal ones, not the plastic ones. Install is easy, drill the proper size hole in the door and mount the catch!
Yes my solar controller does have a temp sensor ran to where the battery compartment is. It’s been COLD and cloudy for many days. Cleared up today and the battery’s charged up pretty well. We’ll see what happens.
I don’t believe so. I checked them when I got them and they looked good.
It does, we never use it tho. I just turned the truck on using my phone from bed haha. We needed to defrost the windshield anyway.
Not much to report on. Just living in parking lots and snowboarding everyday . Batteries don’t like the cold. I swapped out our 2 12v for 4 6v I got from a buddy. They were a couple years old but never used and always on a trickle. So I’m not sure if it’s just the cold or a combination of...
Having a blast on the road. Still feels like I have to be back at work at some point haha. There’s some random photos of the rig and the pup.
Also found my dream home in a sleepy little mountain town ?
Yea being sandwiched between to legal states they must see an opportunity to take advantage. I didn’t really have a problem with it till the local hero sheriff show up and was a total ************ bag. I’m 100% respectful to cops until they are unprofessional and disrespectful to me.
