Yea rough plan is to travel for a few years. Snowboard all winter, Alaska in the summer, then eventualy do the Pan American Highway all the way to South America.
Yea man for sure. Are you on IG? Might be easier to connect on there and see where we’re at. @willywalderbeast
Fixed the tail light issue. After checking and redoing every ground on the chassis and running a whole new ground to the frame it turned out to be the factory wire harness connector. Of course it’s in the worse location, inside the frame rail above the grey tank! So I routed a whole new harness...
Mounted the Thule box I was debating on if I should bring or not. I’ll keep it for the winter at least. Will have to come off when I switch out the snowboards for the surfboards.
Still trying to work out an electrical issue with my tail lights I’m having then we’re done!!! It’s driving me...
Yup I removed the tray and 4 standard golf cart sized 6v fit perfectly. They have to be positioned how you see them in the photo. And have to be tilted sideways to fit them in. I didn’t feel the need to reinforce the floor.
We’re a couple days out from taking off in the camper. Trying to finish up some last minute things. Swapped out my two 12v batteries for 4 6v. Ran some 12v outlets recently too. One for the tv, and two under the shelf in our bed area for charging phones at night and for a heated blanket my wife...
Yea when we travel in the winter months we just winterize the camper, use jugs of water and anti freeze in the toilet/sink and shower wherever we can (planetfitneses, KOAs, friends places, etc). The furnace in our camper can bake us out if we want it to, it works great. Although we don’t use it...
Yea I have boondocked in all seasons with just a 50w panel and two house batteries. I’ve since upgraded to 200w solar and 4 6v batteries so I should never have a problem with power but still wouldn’t have enough to heat the tanks and lines I believe. I have an on board Onan Gen that I think I’ve...
I’ve looked into it as well. Don’t think it’s doable off of battery power alone. If you were going to have access to a cord all the time then yes, insulation and heating pads/tape might do it along with some anti freeze in the grey and black but the draw would be too much for a normal battery...
Couple more pictures of the bumper. Searching for a storage box for the right swing-out. I like the aluminess boxes but they are 16.5 deep. Hoping to find something closer to only 12” deep so it doesn’t interfere with the motorcycle when loaded.
