If you like the Prius the Fusion Titanium with sport seats would have resulted in a fight with the spouse. LOL Way nicer ride and driver than the Prius. My mom bought a T3 at 73yrs old. Its been ok but not really a daily driver. We’ll likely switch to a Mach E at some point. Plug-in Expedition...
I have the slightly older 40v one its awesome, Its far more capable than small limbs. Get the 40v saws they are comparable to small gas saws. 18v is still a toy under powered. I added the 40v limb trimmer and just recently added the line trimmer which is probably the most impressive yet goes...
No doubt a truck all in one unit is way better than the typical 26-28ft ranch house trailer. Unfortunately thats the trend right now however!!! On the flip side most of those people are strictly RV parking lot restricted ?err RV park restricted
Just keep in mind with size especially the giant box trailers and the crazy COVID RV boom your massively limited to where you can stay and even find availability. A big factor in why I haven’t upgraded my first trailer yet, and an even bigger factor as to why I refuse to go over 19-20ft. Yes we...
The reason I can’t own a modern diesel is my use pattern. Lots of local short trips within a yr the diesel would be junk. I bought a 2019 Expedition the 3.5 is such a bizarre combo of low rev grunt and then high strung twin turbo madness it’s honestly a great argument for not going diesel for...
I’ve really looked at the Intechs. I like that you can get all your “junk” inside ie not on display. Lol
The larger Flyer and a kids Bunk o cot was a very serious possibility for us. But not fitting in the garage was a big negative. The tip out bed is also pretty tight for two. We are still in...
I do recall the new engine was a needed change for emissions standards also why the old one is being phased out.
The new i6 is a pretty cool engine likely the last diesel in a passenger vehicle for GM. My use pattern won’t work with modern diesels even though I really like them and would love...
I recall the modern tarus starter motor is a big improvement over the stock one known for lighting the battery cable on fire. Our 85 E250 had a few burning battery cable events. Its the starter motor type they used, cant recall the exact details but its a odd starter design prone to causing that...
If I skip charging it 40-44ish is typical. It will do EV only about 12-18 miles and up to 80mph EV mode before dino burner kicks in.
I borrowed a basket yrs ago for a trip very similar to yours used it on my Subaru it was a shock how big of a mpg hit it was, plus crazy noisy. I gave it back...
skip the basket get a sleek box. Thats a 5mpg hit right there vs 1-2 with a sleek box.
Our Fusion plug-in hybrid has a life time 70,000 mile average of 62mpg?.
All the OB, XV and Foresters should have that lower gearing. That’s been a big issue with the cvt. And likely why so many old timer Subaru owners have left the brand. I bought my 2001 Legacy GT because it had a lower gear set and it made a huge difference!!!
Today I can’t recommend the brand...
Small sailboat diesel heat exchanger looped into the system to separate them might be a easy fix. I can’t imagine having a vehicle cooling system tied to a camper heating system seems like a really easy way to have a cooling system failure that strands you.
Its sad to see that company implode like that. All our Nissan/Infinity dealers have closed up or become used car lots around here. They have designed some great engines over the years but dang they are a disaster today.
Good point think TFL did a quick in person walk around of a pre production one recently. My guess due to Nissan company drama and huge losses its going to be a tad short in various comparables but likely the most affordable and probably decent 4x4 capabilities.
I liked it also. My 9 yr old has grown a foot since I looked at it lol. He is taller than most 12 yr olds now. Apparently grandpa’s 6’3” factor is in play vs my daughter is the smallest by a foot, but is crazy sports girl and out plays most lol.
Don’t discount the kid factor best of luck
The gm 2nd row and doors are small, that is till recent redesign they gave them bigger 2nd doors and better 2nd row room. The F150 is like a living room in the back lol. I do lots of car pool pre pandemic and now masked with roof open only just the last few weeks. So F150 station wagon it was...
