The tremor is interesting for sure. I replaced my last Toyota “first gen Sequoia” With a 19 Expedition fully loaded zero regrets very nice machine. It beats the Subaru on trip mileage with the 4x6 in tow. It completely crushes the Sequoia on range, mileage, load capacity and even has a rear...
Kids get bigger just a warning. I typically keep vehicles a long time but out growing a costly vehicle before its time to replace it sucks..
My Outback was far superior in seating room than all the vehicles on your list, we out grew it lol. Mainly load capacity as space was pretty decent but...
Yeah except I doubt he is using 2000 Rangers built 10 yrs ago?.
This thread bounces between a 20 yr old unicorn and a new North American variant of the Australian Ranger. LoL
Having a place to keep a 4x6 trailer opens up lots of vehicle options. I like hauling crap in my trailer vs screwing up my vehicle.
I think passenger seating needs are going to be a bigger factor if thats a need. Long road trips taken regularly? Etc?
Which case none of those vehicles would have...
Pandemic sent the intech trailers from lots in stock everywhere you looked to near zero availability 3-6 month wait and $5000-$7000 markup no dealing prices.
Lots of them constantly listed on the FB group for sale tho... Buy used right now and your very close to pre pandemic new prices.
Hmm
Built in china, BS doesn’t know how they are getting wired given the factory is likely using whatever they can get for wiring. Anything unseen ie behind panels could literally be anything / you name it. Keep testing wires looking for dead stuff and try to narrow it down.
I have a 8 yr old $20 20amp solar controller, on a boring lead acid battery. Two 10watt panels I set out and it has handled our LED lights and device charging for 8 yrs no problem, all contained in a 50cal ammo can bolted to our trailer.
If you can make it two nights guessing group 27 or 31...
You try replacing it? Or just check it? They can be a big pain if they have gone goofy. I also think they are more likely to go bad with RV use getting exposed to questionable shore power etc.
Any chance you have a GFI plug some place? Those can get messed up / broken and cause all sorts of goofy power issues especially in a RV with goofy wiring.
50yr old and 29yr old in a van city dwelling. Yeah kinda leaning in the direction of not a couple just on a road trip. Old RVs have old refrigerators and old wiring that have suffered road vibration for yrs. Even if it wasn’t Human caused it was likely still questionable stuff in need of rebuild.
For sure not a Liberal thing. The Pismo dunes crowds factor is hard to grasp if you haven’t been in recent years. A friend just out of Medical school worked the Pismo area during peak Dune season as ER staff. The level of impact on the area goes way beyond just native grasses and blowing sand...
Yeah got the HD why not? LoL
My Expedition isn’t running through 3rd world countries on questionable fuel off unmarked trucks filtered with a Tshirt, or getting oil changes with second hand oil from a truck with a bucket of oil on the bumper. Then again the US LC’s aren’t the LC’s found running...
I’m mainly a CA coastal and Sierras camping. My tent trailer was perfect for those regions. The eye opener was Moab our first Desert trip and typical mild desert winds. Yeah pretty much a fail. We’ll be doing more desert trips and more higher latitude trips not as tent trailer friendly in the...
Also keep in mind the single panels with the high wattage ratings seem to have a much narrower range of ideal production than the lower rated panels that are nearly the same surface area. So dropping a few 400watt panels on a folding frame might yield good production in perfect conditions and...
This one was on my interest list. But cost vs basically being cheap RV quality and the added complexity of the hard side fold outs has it pretty low on the list.
I’m not into the added expense of the Taxa Mantis but feel like its just a better all around solution for my use / need. Can also see...
Jumping Jack might be too basic or small but I have a similar trailer going on 9 yrs old. Its just a tent on a trailer. I have the original Life time tent trailer. The negatives are not good for desert winds!
Wow crazy I bought the original prior to wilco buying Hitchgate. They were $850 new? based in LA. Mine was even dropped off by a employee on his way home. Shipping I recall fro Socal to Norcal was $160 ish more$
