Interesting NHSTA study on vehicle safety relative to vehicle weight. If you look at the graphs…
Driver fatality of a 5,000lb 1997-2000 SUV (i.e. LC100) occurred at ~60 Deaths per million registration years.
Driver fatality of a 3,0000lb 2007-2010 CAR (i.e. Civic Hybrid) occurred at ~60...
I would imagine the 4WD upgrade cost to be less than that. What is the price of a similarly equipped 170" RWD panel van in the US? Surely, it's not 38,980 British Pounds plus 20%...46,776 BP's or US$77,713.
I have a set of these in my sedan and would like to get (or make) them for my SUV. They pop in place and can stay on 24/7. But to travel at highway speeds, you'll have to keep the window at least halfway up.
I have not seen them available in the US except for certain BMW models. Somebody needs...
If you like the ARB Outback slam handles, you could probably get them from ARB USA. You can certainly get them from the original manufacture Outback 4wd Interiors in OZ.

To the OP, I have not talked to Sears but I have previously corresponded with Odyssey with the same question. We all know Odyssey manufactures the DHP line. Here's what they said...
Response to Inquiry:
Hi, I'd...
IMO, they are basically the same battery with different types of terminals. The added width of the auto battery is because it has side terminals. I would choose the auto battery since it has a longer warranty. I'm guessing the difference of 30cca's is in error… and not really significant...
I can't speak for these burners but the ceramic one I have at home is mounted horizontally. I let it burn off grease for a bit after grilling and the center section is clear... but the edges of my burner don't get as hot and do get clogged. I have soaked the burner in water and poked the holes...
If you left the wings off and used ratchet straps or turnbuckles to fasten the drawers, you might be able to remove both drawers quickly. However, you would probably need to empty the drawers. Too heavy otherwise.
I always close the deflation valve before proceeding to step two. Then roll the mat until the "air bubble" forms. Kneel on the mat, reopen the valve and finish the roll. Replace valve again. The time saved is worth the extra step for me.
