I agree! I pull a Boston whaler during the summer months, I just use my mirrors because the back of my truck is full of gear or fishing stuff.

I would bet that would work fine as long as for cognitive of how high and far it sticks out... however it looks weird. What about taking a yakama tray bike rack and making a longer extension so it’s slides in your receiver and fits close to the spare tire.

The bumper on the prospector and xl are the same, you just attach a flare to it... that’s how I understand it.
