    Fridge/Freezer Wireless Thermometer

MetalTech lists this wireless remote fridge thermometer from IronMan 4x4, but they are out of stock until February. Unlike the ARB remote, which is hardwired, this one will work in any fridge, with a wireless RF transmitter in the fridge or freezer compartment, running on three batteries. I...

    2k quiet gendrators

I gotta believe some people just have bad luck follow them Or they self generate it in the name of 'personal drama'.. Believe what you want, but I can assure you that the pressure washer problem was the result of not getting all the fuel out of the carb when I ran it dry. The big washer only...

the cost of that carb would pay for alot of fuel when I use less than 10g of fuel a season mowing my yard. Same here. Pump gas ruined my big pressure washer.

I had to lower choke and it ran fine. What does "lower the choke" mean? Choke should be wide open when gen is warmed up and running.

And there is no such thing as ethanol free or pure gas. Federal only requires labeling if it contains 10% or more ethanol. You are wasting your money on so called pure gas. Yes there is and no, I'm not. The pure gasoline is not pump gas. I buy it in five-gallon drums, manufactured...

    2k quiet gendrators

I have two of the 2K Yamahas. Did a lot of research a couple years ago and decided they were the best technology and best value. Biggest advantage is the fuel gauge, and the ability to run the carb dry without emptying the tank. I'm just going to stop using gas with ethanol in it because it...

Feedback on Rigid 20641 back up lights............... Results update.

I have a pair of the larger D2 Duallys in flood pattern mounted in the rear bumper of my Tundra. They are nice but don't throw as much usable light as I expected them to. They allow a clean installation, but I prefer the performance of the Hella halogens on my Dodge. Depending on where you...

Deep Cycle Battery Setup: Your Experience + Why?

I’ll check out the mentioned brand, but definitely leaning for a full deep cycle like the full river line. V-Max makes both dual purpose and true deep cycle AGMs, as does FullRiver. I looked at the FullRiver line and would not have even found the V-Max, except for the fact that FullRiver did...

Deep Cycle Battery Setup: Your Experience + Why?

I have been using dual purpose AGMs as house batteries for the last ten years or so and just switched over to true deep cycles for the house. The DP AGMs were Odyssey and then Optima Yellows and Blues, and I was only getting about three years per pair, with minimal use. Main load was an Indel...

    Safe Jack

I carry a selection of SafeJack jack adapters for my Hummer H1 scissors jack. The H1 jack has a big knob on top to engage the control arms on the H1, so that makes it almost useless for other vehicles. However, the SafeJack adapters allow use of the H1 jack with just about any vehicle, and the...

Advice on purchasing a truck shell?

All three of my trucks have SnugTops on them, 20 years, 13 years, and four years. SnugTop quality has been excellent and their customer service absolutely sucks. They refer everything to their often inept dealers, even simple questions.

Advice on purchasing a truck shell?

Color matched is nice but is it worth the extra $1500 over a ~ $500 used topper? It isn't to me, but it might be to you. I found a used SnugTop Rebel for my Tundra for $600, paid a body shop $300 to change color from silver to white, can't tell it from a new $2K shell. CraigsList is your...

    House battery troubleshooting

I did that, the passive draws are <0.25 A Are you sure you didn't misread that? I don't know squat about Sprinters, but that should probably be .025 instead of .250. My guess on the batteries is that the mismatched pair is not the problem, as much as having one bad one drawing down the good...

    LED Headlight Recommendation

RetroShop is now selling LED projectors fitted into stock headlight housings, introductory sale pricing, not cheap. Don't know how good they are, but gotta be better than drop-ins.

Ram HDs with 37s. Do you carry a spare?

The actual diameter of a 35" inflated to max pressure and a 37 at the 45ish psi i run my fronts can't be a ton. Doesn't make too much difference in the real world. On dirt or snow or mud or rocks, there will be enough slippage that things will work fine in 4WD, even with a front locker for...

Ram HDs with 37s. Do you carry a spare?

I run 35's on my PW and keep the stock (33") spare under the bed in stock position, just in case. I am not willing to give up any bed space for a spare, don't want a tire gate. A 33 mounted on the front axle will get me back to civilization if I can't patch the 35s in the boonies. I would...

A friend of mine is looking at a 2008 dodge mega cab, he's wondering about a cheap good suspension option...Any ideas on this?

If there were stock aluminum wheels on the truck they would be cast. PW and H2 wheels are forged, and for a reason. Your call, but you did ask for advice.

The race lines we are looking at. That wheel is cast, not forged. Mall crawler. I would not run that wheel on a heavy truck off road.

There are two sets of PW wheels for sale on the PW Forum, 2016s for $500. http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5450

Don't know what island you are on, but H2 wheels can be had for $200-$300/set of four, plus maybe $80/set for machining the hubs. Racelines will cost what, $2K? Something to think about.
