I would also recommend getting a Trasheroo to strap onto the trailers spare tire. It will be close to both your kitchen area and the back of your tow vehicle.
I use the top of my box to carry two 20 L jerry cans, and also to hold two canvas totes filled with firewood. I didn't get the front storage rack on Beastie.
No problemo! I personally don't tweet, facebook, or use Reddit. A bit of a Luddite actually. I agree with your sentiments concerning FB, and actually feel the same for most modes for social media. So have at it, and have fun!
Yes, the ad is legit. But not necessarily for the reasons that you might think. I just got off the phone with Mark. His business is booming. In the two years since I purchased Beastie, Mission Overland has built and sold over 60 Summit trailers. And he has orders for many, many more. He has...
Slight update, both the Echo and the Ego look good and in my price range. The Ego has an easier chain tensioning system. Now to find a local dealer for each of them.
David, you and Teri will be two of the first people to meet the new pup in September. ;)
Thanks for the article. I think I am going to check out the Echo. Mid to upper level scores across the board. And a price of ~ $200 is not bad for something I will only use for overlanding. What are you...
Nanc and I decided that living without a dog is no fun. We've (that means me) been searching for a good Boykin Spaniel breeder and found one in Wyoming. I really checked the breeder out and once satisfied put down a payment for a pup that should be born about mid-June. We are third on the list...
There are two things I want to purchase for overlanding this year. The first is a set of MaxTrax. the second is an electric chainsaw. Probably one with around a 20" bar. Do we have any electric chainsaw "experts" in this group? I have lots of questions; best brand/models to look for, battery...
Your answers are great! I would love to own your rig or one similar to it. The reason I asked my questions is totally personal. I'll be 73 in a couple of months. Removing and reinstalling my spare off the front of my trailer is becoming difficult physically for me. It is a 255/75R17 KO2 on a...
Excellent vehicle. Questions; how do you raise and lower the spare tire from it's mount? Where are the steps stored while traveling? Where do you stand/how do you reach the two rear roof clasps at the back of the vehicle?
I recently completed the installation of the IC7100 radio and antenna system in the 4Runner. HF capabilities are fun for talking all over the world while camping/overlanding. They also come in handy, and make a great backup for the inReach system, in case of emergencies. The VHF/UHF...
Well, I finally got it done. And it works great! These are a couple of shots pre-mounting but prior to reinstalling the Electronic brake controller box. It had to be moved slightly to clear the wheels when in the stored position. My wonderful neighbor came over with a 1-1/4" drill bit and a...
Nanc and I hit the same wall several years ago. After 15 years in a RTT it was time to move on. just remember that it will take longer, especially at speed on asphalt, to stop. Have fun! And remember, if you don’t post pics here it didn’t happen. ?
No matter what the weight, when off-reading, especially downhill, trailers this size need brakes. They add so much safety and control. You’ll be happy you ordered them.
Tell me about your graphics please!
