Vogold,
Here is a handy hint. Look at the Dometic manual that came with the trailer. It will show you how to reverse the top so it opens toward the front of the trailer. I found this a lot easier to get into and stuff out of it. Here is a pic of the frig/freezer open BEFORE I switched it...
Congratulations! I can see so many neat updates that Mark has done on these newer Overlands, and they are all great. The trip this time of year is heroic. Lookout Pass didn’t look like any fun at all. The pass East of Butte looks a lot safer, less snow. We’ll have to start sharing tips on...
With those two in bed with you and your wife you probably won't need a heater. Beautiful dogs! Our Tucker would be broken hearted if he didn't sleep with us. We really spoil our pets don't we?
Wow, not one but two 80 lb dogs! That's a lot of dog my friend. You probably can bring the two dogs into the camper with you at night. Mark has gone to a different, and better, mounting system for the table in back. So I'm guessing you could easily get one dog to sleep below the table and...
It's February here in Spokane but feels more like late March. I'm getting itchy feet and want to get back to camping and overlanding! I'd love to get back to southeastern Utah in about a month or so. Here is a pic of Monument Valley from Muley Point. Great site for remote camping.
For a one nighter the setup usually looks more like this. Steinecker State Campground the night before we got to Flaming Gorge NM. This campsite had shore power so I took advantage of it.
This picture is from the RMOR in Gunnison, CO, last summer. It pretty much shows how we set up camp for an extended stay of more than one night. The 180 w portable solar panel Mark sells does a great job of keeping all the batteries powered up. Mark has made attachment to the trailer really...
I'm pretty sure you are right. We've only used the heater a couple of times in the mountains. Typically in the morning to warm up the cabin before we crawl out of bed. BTW, I added a 1-1/2" sheet of memory foam on top of the bed and we sleep like babies!
Great question! Yes, it certainly is. I believe that the measurements are 54" x 76" on mine. Personally, I am like you, and prefer a huge double sleeping bag with a down comforter over it when necessary. SWMBO prefers the comfort of sheets which work just as well.
Here is a shot using the...
Beautiful vehicle. would work great as a tug for my camper. Where is the spare tire and is ti full sized? any ideas on where to install a second spare?

If you can get by with a table that’s part of the bed issue, I’d recommend a Mission Overland trailer. Very rugged construction and made in Canada. We put over 9,000 miles on ours last year and I’ll be doing the Heart of the West loop in it this coming Septimber.
I am always in awe of builds like this. Beautiful job. BTW, glad you hired Adam. He was a great help to me about 5 years ago at Torfab. Very nice guy.
