Engel Power Cord 12v DC wiring. HELP!

If I had to figure this out I would pull the fuse and check continuity between each pin of the cord and the power supply frame. Although, in doing so you might open it up enough to just look at where the wire goes. I would like to think I wouldn’t jump someone’s s#%t on the internet for...

    Stoves??

I’m using the Camp Chef summit series. I got the slightly nicer than Everest model, the one from REI, and love it. I cannot however, remember the name of that model. That being said, I do wish a few things about disassembly and cleaning were easier. curious, why can’t you get the Partner...

Simple, affordable, tube frame roof tent design

I’m guessing the sail fabric was because it has really high tensile strength, great weather resistance, great UV stability, and is easily available in large pieces. Or... they guy had sailing experience and made his choice based on “the only tool is a hammer... everything looks like a nail”...

Simple, affordable, tube frame roof tent design

I suggest you pack lots of aloe burn cream. That PVC heats up to insane temps in the sun. I’ve burned myself just on the PVC coated travel cover of my Tepui and I have the grey one.

So is a '9000' class winch 'enough' for a 6500# Suburban

100% duty rating comes with hydraulics. Mile marker used to make a power steering pump driven winch. They were slow but mega workhorses. Haven’t heard from or about them lately, but I would consider one if I found it.

Simple, affordable, tube frame roof tent design

I’m curious to know how they are keeping the fabric tensioned for the floor. it seems like some sort of tensioning device would be needed beyond lacing and tying.

Kodiak Adventure Trailer - having exo cage built and need ideas!

Cool trailer. Lots of fun to come. I suspect you won’t often swap a tent for a basket as the tent is a heavy PITA to get up and down. If you are having a cage built I would suggest simply building a basket as the body of cage, think Gobi Rack, but design it in such a way that there is 6-8”...

M1078 STEWART AND STEVENSON LMTV OVERLANDING CAMPER BUILD

You say 2x2 quarter wall. Do you mean 0.250”? I don’t have a lot of aluminum experience, but that sounds really thick. I probably wouldn’t even make a trailer frame that heavy. of course... size selection depends largely on framing design and load tolerance.

A very interesting new Roof top tent

So... do they make one that looks like a bouncy castle? Seriously though... if the tent structure is inflatable, why not a separate inflation chamber for the floor/mattress inflate to taste.

    Waxy contaminant in propane line

Considering the miserable consequences of failure, I would probably hook the tank up to a lantern or burner and let it rip until all of the gas was burned out. What do you lose? $15-20?

    AT Chaser Wheel Adapters

I would start by adding the spacers and seeing what happens. You could probably get as narrow as an inch before you had any issues and I doubt you could see that difference in 90% of real world situations. After that, you could have the axle cut in the center and narrowed, or buy another bare...

    AT Chaser Wheel Adapters

I pulled a wheel tonight. The trailer (2007 AT Chaser) has aluminum spacers about 2” thick and m12x1.5 wheel studs pressed into them. They have log nuts similar to the ones on the left in your picture. Meaning, they have a washer, a straight section with a tiny taper at the end, and the...

    Insulate underneath body?

I’ve used Grace ice and water shield (a roofing product) in place of dynamat for years on car rebuild projects. In Minneapolis any lumberyard would have it, about 1/4 or less of the dynamat cost and just as effective.

    Insulate underneath body?

Look under any modern vehicle and you will find a foil backed foam stuck to the underside of the floor around the transmission tunnel and parts of the firewall. It is definitely a viable option. I believe, however, that the addition of marine plywood means that suggestion was intended for the...

Is There A Good Thread Out There Already for Bad Cooks?.......

Take cooking classes. There is much more to being able to cook than just read and do a recipe. I’m teaching my oldest to cook now, and if you think about everything communicated, it is amazing. You involve sight, sound, smell, touch, taste... How to know if the pan is hot? Too hot? Too...

    AT Chaser Wheel Adapters

Kids wanted to go to the Ocean today, so all projects went on hold while we threw rocks in the water for hours on end. Good news... I can still out-throw a 2-year old girl! I don’t know where you live, but there are a couple of major trailer parts suppliers in California, and just walking up...

    AT Chaser Wheel Adapters

I got into some other projects and haven’t pulled a wheel, but the alloys on it are 6 lug, 16”, with a Toyota logo on the center cap and the nuts look to be full depth of the wheel, similar to the one circled in your photo. I’ll circle back when I get there.
