One for tow strap, one for recovery strap, one for winch extension and tree saver, one for big jumper cables. Shackles, gloves, etc. go into a gatemouth bag.
I'm not a fan of Rustoleum, much prefer Krylon products in the rattle cans. Once dry, they are both OK, but Krylon dries so much faster that you can often paint and go the same day. Some of the ROL products take overnight to dry and stay tacky for a while, so may collect dust on items that are...
Better to just buy a quality D-handle spade with a steel and wood or fiberglass grip. I carry one of those and a full-size garden hoe for pulling sand/snow/mud out from under the truck. The hoe is way better than the shovel in the desert (most of the time).
One of the guys on the Power Wagon Forum recently bought one, but no use reports yet. Original price was something like $2800, but they seem to pop up between $500 and maybe $1800 asking price, sometimes lower. I'm not sure of the exact configuration on these, but they use a cup and pin...
Edgestar looks just like Whynter with a different label. These guys sell new scratch and dent "open box" or "no box" Whynter, cheap:
They popped up in the CraigsList deals thread and I got a pair of Whynter 45s for $237.50 each, this week. They had a bunch of Whynters on the floor, including...
Several light manufacturers offer mounting kits for various vehicles to fit stock locations. Look at Hella, Ridgid, PIAA, etc. Best place for advice on Hellas is Susquehanna Motorsports. Don't get overly excited about LEDs for fog, because halogen is probably a better choice for fogs, less glare.
I have six 55W H3 halogens on the back of one truck, and they are plenty bright. Combination of Hella work lights and projector low-beam headlights. PIAAs are always over rated, and that's why most of my PIAAs are sitting on a shelf in the garage.
I have a pair of Ridgid D2 Dually LED flood...
When I needed one, I just checked the WalMart website every morning and when it came up, I ordered for store pickup. Sometimes they will ship to home, sometimes not. And when they ship to store, it's only to certain stores. Weird marketing.
I have ordered MaxTrax twice, once from the old importer, once from the new importer. Both times, had them in my hands within a week.
"No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime you find
You get what...
And they don't even know the difference between a shovel and a spade. Not a good sign.
I swallowed hard and bought MaxTrax for my main truck. Worked so well that I bought a pair for my other truck. No reason to use anything else unless reports come in that the new stuff is equal or better.
My Indel B 50 has two compartments, with the smaller one over the compressor functioning as a fridge section when I have the main section set to freeze. It's nice to have the option to freeze things when necessary, but in very hot weather (110+) the bottom freezes and stuff on top is just very...
Similar design, but the H3 is based on the Colorado platform, not the K1500 or Silverado platform. The problem with that H3 is the stupid offset on those wheels. That much leverage would break a lot of trucks.
My guess is that they are the same, and the specs were written by two different people. Call Odyssey and ask them. They have been pretty good about discussing their batteries and their private label batteries with me.
