Fuel Tank skid after having the weight of the truck on it and being dragged over a rock....It did bend slightly but is not touching the fuel tank. The factory skid would have been destroyed and done little to protect the tank.
goneMoab was a good time...Decided to run Top of the World and Elephant Hill for trails. Both trails had challenging sections, but we got into a little bit of trouble on Elephant Hill, sliding of the trail and having to hook up two winches to keep the truck from going over...I have video of that...
If your antenna contact is on bare metal and your antenna cable is good to go, you should be able to get a good tune. As you know, with our mounting location, we will get the best ground plane to the rear of the truck. The nice thing about the firestik is that its tuneable. I like the red by the...
Talk about luck! That is awesome...I can't wait to see a lift and some tires on this truck. By the way, I checked out your WK, very nice Jeep that was.
Finally got the passenger strut replaced at Nisstec. It had definitely blown a seal...and had more than likely been defective since it was new. It's probably why the other issues cropped up with the suspension last year. This was the final thing needing addressed before goneMoab, which is next week!
Thanks. I carry two spares just because I did'nt go up in tire size, so might as well keep the one down below and buy a new factory wheel and rotate 5.

Nisstec apparently has mounted several in this location on Xterra's, I was the first Frontier. It looks like you can still change out the bulb with the compressor in place. There are obviously many places one could mount the compressor, in the engine bay or otherwise. As far as the engine bay...
There is a sleeve of metal on the drivers side (other than the sheet metal you cut) that's just above the six inch mark, but really the lines would not work if you went higher than Chris did.
Ha! probabaly not...Good thing Nisstec and I did'nt think of that before mounting it. I'll have to look at it, but if need be, you could always unbolt the compressor.
Chris, at Nisstec, thought that the horn might have to be relocated but that didn't end up being the case. It fits in that location perfectly. Another advantage of that location in the engine bay is that it is cool and gets plenty of air.
