I would think the J8 also is affected by how the electronics are programmed. I know I had the ECU reprogrammed on the Jeep Liberty CRD and that added another 2mpg on it. I would imagine that the J8 probably could be tuned to get better mileage results.

Actually I have one of the diesel libertys and I love it. I would say almost all of the problems are DaimlerChrysler and Govt induced and would be first in line to get a Jeep Wrangler diesel

I have a CRD so I used the OME heavy duty coils and have been happy. I looked at the frankenlift and came very close to getting it because everyone raved about it, and I did use ALL Js to get the CRD coils and they have excellent customer service.
