You got it. They are the SCS Stealth 6 wheels in the special edition "matte silver" finish. I also have SCS F5's on my LX450, they are awesome wheels! FWIW The group buy on Tacomaworld has just started for the new SR8 wheel. Quantities are going to be low initially so it might be a good time to...
OMG. So awesome. Thanks for posting those... exactly what I would do with the bed/wheel/tire size. I'd be a little lower without the SAS but an excellent representation of a capable yet clean Tundra!
It was a PITA to remove them all. Used floss (lots of it), a heat gun, and even a utility knife. I actually cut the rear "Toyota TUNDRA" logo on the tailgate so it just says "Toyota". Best photo I have:

A bit tedious but it looks way cleaner...
As nice as the diesel is, I'm not a huge fan of "coal burners." My good friend Nick has a JDM 1HD-T with upgraded intercooler, injectors, full exhaust, etc etc. The thing is a beast, sounds amazing and is the most bada$$ Cruiser on the trails. But it's still gutless, slow, and just not my style...
Nice report! I was headed for this trail in May but ran out of my alotted time. Wow this makes me wish I would have stuck it out... excellent photos, I'll be back next year!
Good points but I already have an 04' Tundra as per the first post. Its immaculate, steering radius blows, the frame is mint, I get 19-20 mpg on the highway and IF I do this, I'll be dropping it at CBI Offroad for custom armor. ARB's are excellent lockers so we're good there! Pushbutton T-Case...
Awesome build man. No lift and 33's looks deadly and that front bumper is very unique!
Just saw your comment in my tundra/LX thread and thought I would creep a little. Nice build, glad I stopped by!
Cheers!
Haha well considering how many I take, the ratio is relatively low. But I guess that's the process. Glad to get more people wanting to wheel/overland/explore up here in Canada, its gorgeous!
Thanks guys!
Yah, but not as frequently. He opened his own shop called "The Gear Shop" and...
I think this is simply quote worthy due to the 100% truth behind it. Damn vehicles....
Your probably right. However I'm on the quest for the vehicle that suits my needs the best, trying to elliminate all nostalgia, emotion, and rarity from the equation.
Well the LX is by no means unreliable...
Lol thanks man! There is no question I want to build the Tundra. But I'm just trying to hear some good reasoning as I don't want this to be THE "I never should have sold that truck" decision.
haha, no problem.
I have 265/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx on my DD. Love them. They have grown a little louder with age/mileage but not a big deal. Super agressive for an AT yet still have manors for a DD. Lots of siping (although not as much as the Duratrac). My Father has them on his built 01' Tacoma too and we just...
I was actually looking at your Tundra the other day! Nice rig. Still love your 1st gen though. The 2UZ is awesome, one of my favorite parts about the Tundra.
Very true.
Coming from you, this comment has some weight! haha
Very true but Im not arguing capability of the built Tundra vs. the...
So here I sit. I've had several Toyota 4x4's in the last ten years: 92, 93, 94 Toyota Pickups, 2x 98' 4Runners, and now my LX450 and 04' Tundra. Some of you may have been familiar with my built 98' 4Runner on here (the Dirt Duster) and my current LX (Tom Cruiser). I REALLY liked my 98 4Runner...
Neither of which are my trucks, but two photos I took over the weekend:

After waking, we rolled into position for a group shot:

We rolled around the idea of a few trails for Sunday's run. Our trip had just been so scenic up to this point we thought we would keep it going. From our camp site we could see a road...
