Well as I prepare for Moab next month, things are slowly turning from a pile of parts in my garage to something more substantial. I am picking away at the "to-do" list hour by hour as I find time. This weekend was allocated to getting my sleeping platform sorted and onto the right track. Not...
Awesome photos Isaac. You picked a really cool location and even the weather and damp ground really ad to the photos, thanks for sharing! I have to say, your 4Runner is looking fantastic. The SCS wheels, bigger tires, and CBI Hybrid just make a deadly combo, especially with the unique color set...
Looking good Mason! As always, love the practical approach and maintenance before the crazy mods. Bummer about the Duratracs, I've never driven a set that felt like they were having excessive wheel shake. Although Goodyears are known to balance like garbage and my Kevlars are no exemption. The...
Hey man thanks! I saw you added me on IG, thats sweet. Love your 80 also! I'll be in Moab May 7-11 or 12. We'll have to meet up if your around. I have a planning thread going on in that section of the forum also. Cheers!
Very nice 80! I simply love this color, and it seems like most agree. I also got side tracked with your trip reports and really enjoyed them. Keep up the great work, a very clean and well built LC!
Really nice Tacoma and diggin' the new kicks! Excellent photos too, what do you shoot with?
Just curious, are your current wheels the old ones, with the OMF rings removed?
I agree Mason, something about the 3rd Gen just makes it timeless. Im a huge fan of the square-ish ridge over the front and rear wheel wells... The 3rd gen is one of my favorite 4x4 bodies of all time. I didnt say this, but I even prefer it over my 80 in that category.
Your new ride looks...
Always loved watching your build thread. The new Moab photos are awesome, just gets me full of stoke for my trip to Utah this summer! Thanks for sharing your stories as always.
Id still pull your airbag off and have a look. You'll also want a IS300 steering wheel no later than 2002. The pre-02 airbags are two stage and the 03+ is a 3 stage bag.

I am almost positive that the spline count will match up. The airbag issue might be a different story though and I cant promise anything there, but I'm sure it would bolt in.
That airbag adaptor harness I ordered from Toyota fit perfectly to connect my IS300 airbag to my LX450 clock spring and...
Hey thanks! Being only an hour from the mountains is a definite blessing. I love it out there! I have a Canon 6D with a few lenses. 50mm f/1.8, 24-105L IS f/4.0, and I just picked up a Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8.
I headed out to the Crowsnest Pass last weekend for a day on the trail. The Crowsnest...

Hey thanks Colin! Glad you dropped by. We still need to meet up sometime. I'll be in the Calgary office this week for work, maybe we should meet for a pint.
Wow that's a series tub job. Looks like you kept his lift height pretty low though, 2.5"? Love that bed chop for the rear bumper too. Damnit, I don't need any more bad ideas, my 80 is enough!
