Awesome Jason. I was a big fan of the Baja Bus and your adventures, and am stoked to see what you do with the 100. I'm waiting for this long travel so I can sell my 80 and follow suite! Sub'd.
Thanks! As I mentioned in your Rubicon thread, loving your Montero. I honestly didnt think you could even run 35's on those!
Photos do not do that rig justice... you should see the interior and marine navigation system. Or, the storage platform, or the "electrical bank", or the immaculate air...
Such great photos Richard, and the narrative is second to none. I'm living vicariously through the glory of your trip, while I sit at my desk! HA
Safe Travels.
Thanks gents! I'm sure the snow will start flying across the nation soon enough. But if your ever bored and head up to our neck of the woods, lemme know!
I believe it's called the Trail of Seven Bridges. Right along the BC/Alberta border
Thanks! It's not always so easy to do, as you well...
Thanks the body line is a winner. Cant wait to see yours with the Cummins all done and some bedliner!
Got out wheeling yesterday! Didn't take as many photos as I usually do... I guess I was just taking in the whole experience more as I dont get to the mountains as much as I used to. Funny how...
Great build! I drive an 04' Tundra for my DD/work truck. I just the the Bilstein leveling kit and am on 265/75s. They are awesome trucks and are so nice on the highway. Im always having thoughts of building mine up but the fiance shuts that idea down pretty quick.... this build thread doesnt help!
Awesome rig, looks like your using it to it's full potential too! I love those trails in the dense forest....
Love this truck. Hahah cool shot.
Posted these in my build thread but thought I'd throw em' in here also:

Pretty sure that truck is for sale.... or at least it was last time I saw it. If your interested I can call the owner and see what the current status is.
EDIT: It's definitely more than $3K though... such a wicked rig.
Thanks! I was honestly super worried I would regret the LineX job... but it's actually surprised me. I've already had so many people walk by the truck and second-glance at it. haha
I have some and I usually use it for my interior. Never thought of it for the LineX though, thanks for the tip...
Thanks Dave! It cost me close to $2K but I had the better LineX applied (UV coated) and it has a lifetime warranty. Also had the roof coated which bumped the cost up $250 from my original estimate. Still cheaper than a $8000 paint job and a hell of a lot more durable! I'd like to see it on your...
Thanks Derek, didn't see this until now! Truck is still the same except I've added the Bilstein shock kit to level the front suspension out. Also painted the front calipers red cause it gives me more horse power.
The other night I was bored at work:

Got the Cruiser back from LineX. I'm away at work but the fiance was nice enough to pick it up and snap a photo for me:

I'll take a bunch of hi-res photos when I get home.
Ok, so yours are still very fresh! haha My MTZ's got louder as well but I found the ST Maxx to be decently quiet initially, and I cant say that's the case now. Oh well, still a great tire and I'm expecting to get 75,000kms out of this set. (98% highway driving too...)
Thanks! The sleeping...
That awning is VERY nice! Compliments your Cruiser very well too, looks great!
Just curious, how many miles do you have on the ST Maxx tires? I've got ~25,000kms on mine (work truck) and they are wearing exceptionally well. However I do find them substantially louder now than they were upon...
I was immediately drawn to this thread after seeing the title in a section where I would not normally expect something of this nature. It was a welcomed surprise and I really enjoyed the read. Thanks for sharing your excellent photos and I look forward to getting down to Cuba myself someday.
