    ***CLOSED*** Krazy Beaver GB

Well, for $9.99 I'll probably get one. What's it made of? Looks like some sort of plastic.

    Favorite cooler under $100

t have a fridge and a couple of Orca 58s (similar to Yeti, but sized better for my truck configuration). I lived for years with the silver-blue Igloos (their best ones at the time and claiming to hold ice for five days at 90 degrees). I still like the Igloos when the weather is not too...

The cost of big tires - Is it worth it?

To get good advice, OP needs to tell us which version of the F250 he has, how its geared, how he plans to use it, what he's carrying or towing, etc. Or he could just get a 3G Power Wagon and slap on some 35" or 37" Toyos, usually no suspension mods required. Done.

    Toyota guys think it's sacrilege.

I put Thuren-tuned Fox 2.0s on my Power Wagon last summer. I like them a lot.

    Another Ignorant AGM Battery Question

Color of truck, color of interior, where the fridge is sitting, ambient temps, orientation of parking place to sun, etc., etc., etc.,... FWIW, my Indel B 50, white truck with light taupe interior and deep tint on back windows, fridge set on max cold for freezer, after five days of pretty steady...

    Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

Another option would be something like a Ctek 7002 at 8 amps. I have one and it does a very good job on my retired Optima Yellows, now just sitting in storage as emergency backups. I don't know if, by itself, it will work on batteries down to 2.5V as the Odyssey says it will. I do know that...

    Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

I just got one of the new Odyssey chargers that I'm going to try on my 2150. The instructions say that it will charge and condition AGM batteries that are as low as 2.5V. Optima also has a relatively new line of chargers, so you might look into an Odyssey or Optima charger to solve your...

The FINAL Rack!: Looking for a rugged, durable & versatile roof rack/basket?

Very nice setup on that Ford. How do you keep from breaking the solar panel when you load the rack?

The FINAL Rack!: Looking for a rugged, durable & versatile roof rack/basket?

Old Con-Ferrs come up on Craigslist with some regularity, and a lot of those have to be 40 years old and still functional. If I did not have a Con-Ferr, I'd look at the big ARB rack in aluminum.

The FINAL Rack!: Looking for a rugged, durable & versatile roof rack/basket?

I have had the same Yakima rack on one truck since about 1999, and Yakima/Con-Ferr on another truck since 2006. I use only stainless steel fasteners, and any parts I fabricate or cobble together from the parts bin are aluminum, galvanized, or brass/bronze. All stainless threaded parts get a...

Ram V6, Gearing and bigger tires

Since your truck has two diffs, regearing will not be cheap. My Dodge is an '05 PW on 35's with the Hemi and 4.56s, and it used to hunt for gears constantly in the hills and mountains, to the point that it was irritating. Mine is not an 8-spd, but it sounds like you may be experiencing similar...

    Sticking with a single battery…

Make sure whatever wiring, switches, or isolatorsyou use can handle the current draw for that 9K winch. Might be 300 amps or so.

    Sticking with a single battery…

Yes. I have dual Optima yellows in my GMC and a triple system in my Dodge, with an Odyssey 2150 Extreme and a pair of Optima Grp 34 dual purpose Blues as house batteries. Had a dual system in the Dodge until I added a fridge, then went to triple for the desert. I'm pretty sure I have seen...

    Sticking with a single battery…

National Luna sells an LED battery monitor with a programmable alarm to alert you to low battery state, but the beeping from the alarm only helps if you are in the truck when it goes off. You won't hear it if you are sitting outside or in the camper, unless the windows are open. These come in...

    Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

Might as well drive to battery shop and let them test the Yellow.

    Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

Can you jump start it and drive it around to charge from the alternator? If you just pull the battery and take it in, the shop will probably want to put it on their charger and then load test it. How were you thinking about charging it?

    Optima Yellow Top Battery Question

Too many unknowns here. My suggestion would be to charge it up, let it sit overnight, charge it again, let it sit overnight and see if open circuit voltage is up to spec (I think it's 13.1V on those, but check it on the Optima website). If you don't have a conditioning charger, might be time...
