    Homebuilt Roof Rack

Just curious, if you use expanded metal for the floor, how will you tie down gear? Or will you make provisions in the expanded metal?

    Engel 43 or 34 QT ?

What I'd like to see is thermometer control where you can set it to say 35 degrees and the fridge would regulate the temp no matter what the outside temperature was. Maybe add in a manual overide in case it should fail.

    Engel 43 or 34 QT ?

I vote 45QT too. My Waeco is that size and I would not want anything smaller.

A Nice Heavy Duty Camp "GRILL" Not a stove!! :)

Well, hopefully Spressomon will chime in. He's the only one I know who actually owns a Solaire Infrared grill. If he can cook homemade pizzas on it, then I would think it can slow cook chicken or sausages. ExPo Grill off? I don't know if I could compete with some of these chefs but I sure would...

A Nice Heavy Duty Camp "GRILL" Not a stove!! :)

These infrared grills seem to be great at searing and cooking steaks and such but they are criticized as being less than optimal for food/meat that is slow cooked like chicken. I have a Wolf infrared chargrill at home that comes with a metal plate that is placed over the infrared element (covers...

    Fiamma Anwning

I have a 7 nozzle mister that works with a 3/8" hose. I have it connected to a 2.5 Gallon (water) fire extinguisher at 100psi but could also be hooked up to a pesticide sprayer (as long as you can get over 50psi). The mister can go through 2.5 gallons in about 15-18 minutes. It really saved us...

Boston, I found this deal on the Solaire! $286.50 shipped and no tax outside of Indiana. Tempting.

A Nice Heavy Duty Camp "GRILL" Not a stove!! :)

Here's another Solaire Knock-off for $149 and free shipping. However, this is not the same grill as the Solaire. The Solaire grill is 304 Stainless and is made in the USA. The $149 grill is "imported" from Taiwan and does not mention what grade of stainless steel. The Solaire has gotten rave...

You can install UV film on all the windows including clear UV film on the windshield. Cuts down on AC usage. =)

Optima vs. Odyssey and what model?

I have been able to kill two Odyssey batteries from overdischarging--I let the vehicles sit too long. My fault. I now have a battery tender. $40 well spent.

LX570 has a straight rear axle while the LC200 gets IRS? I doubt it.

    Nuvi 670 Review

Yup, the bride and I are getting married in Italy! :luxhello: As for the Nuvi, the suction cup seems to lose it's suction powers after awhile. I might switch over to the vent mount as it is also less obvious. I have had two friends that removed the Navi from the windshield mount but left their...

    Transitionial sleeping bag.

I think you are looking for a "semi-rectangular" sleeping bag. The best thing for her to do is try them on. My gf thought the mummy bags were a little awkward at first... and then she found out how lightweight and warm they were. If you are ever down in the Berkeley area, the North Face Outlet...

Brian894x4’s Land Cruiser FZJ80 build thread.

I have a couple of these that I might make into cargo net. They are very strong. I just have to figure out a way to mount/secure them. 58"W x 37"H...

    Nuvi 670 Review

Thanks for the review! I have the Nuvi 350 but have been disappointed with the brightness of the screen. I understand the Nuvi 670 has a much better display. I am actually visiting Italy next month and am considering getting the 670 just because it has the European maps.

    How to carry more fuel?

The LRA 24 gallon tank is officially 91 liters which translates to 24 US gallons.

    How to carry more fuel?

Yeah, I'm certain it's a 160L aux replacement tank as listed on their website. It's likely they sell this tank in the UK too where they might use imperial units. Probably just an understandable oversight by a US vendor and so it became known as the 34 gallon tank. Anyway, I do like the OEM...
