    How to carry more fuel?

The LRA tank uses a standard 0-90 ohm fuel sender. Since auto parts stores outnumber Toyota dealers 100 to 1, I feel it would be fairly easy to find. They're made by VDO, JAZ, Autometer and a dozen other brands. Just cut/adjust to length and install. If need be, you can also get them anywhere...

    How to carry more fuel?

Let's call it the LRA tank since MAF doesn't manufacture it and MAF also carries 3+ different aux tanks. The LRA uses a very common 0-90 Ohm sending unit, probably easier to find than a proprietary Toyota sending unit. However, I agree, Toyota quality is tough to beat. Just to clarify for...

    How to carry more fuel?

After some research, I concluded both, Long Range Automotive (LRA) and Long Ranger (LR) were quality tanks. I've read complaints about Brown Davis and 4WDsystems tanks. The LRA and LR tanks are both made of 2mm aluminized steel and MIG welded. The LR tanks are also sold as ARB. LRA is...

    How to carry more fuel?

Try http://motorcare.com.au/ They carry LRA tanks (same one MAF sells) and will ship to the US. The price might even be less since the tank is only shipped once.

    Tires: Wide or Narrow?

Sorry, it was late when I responded and I was thrown off when you said "Mathematically the 235 should be narrower." I've had the same experience as you. I went from a 285 to a 295 and the tread width increased by almost an inch. I can understand why they list section width rather than tread...

    Tires: Wide or Narrow?

The 265 and 235 part of the size designation is actually the "Section Width" in millimeters and not the tread width you are measuring. 265mm / 25.4 = 10.43" Also note changing rim width will also effect the tire's section width measurement.

    Husky Liner v. Weathertech?

The coverage/protection of the two mats look very similiar. Since I prefer NOT to have the diamond plate look, I'd choose the Weathertech liners.

    Mark's '95 fzj80...

Keep in mind the '03+ 100's have their charcoal canister in the location where the aux tank resides. Early 100's had the canister elsewhere. I'm sure there is a work around but he'll have to research. It is about a 6 hour install if doing it for the first time. 100 Series 24 Gallon LRA Aux Tank...

    Mark's '95 fzj80...

I have a Long Range Automotive 24 gallons auxillary tank that I've been happy with. It's a good size in between the OEM 13 gallon and the Long Ranger 44 Gallon--doubles the range of my 100. They make it for the 80 series as well and they are about $800 and available through MAF.

    Mounted the powertank

Try http://airgas.com/ for refills. Unfortunately, all the companies in my city will not refill on the spot. They will either exchange them or send them out. So, I might have to look for a ratty tank to exchange.
