ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

Biggest difference is that the Craftsman compressor is already paid for. It's also rated at 2.4cfm at 90psi, so output is about 33% better than the ARB. If you are willing to lug the Craftsman around, it should do most of what you need.

I don't know if Ridgid sells an 18V charger that will plug into your cigarette lighter, but that's probably a necessity if you plan to use that cordless tool in the boonies. Unless you have an invertor. And a spare battery is probably a good idea. If no 18V-from-12V charger and no invertor...

    waterproofing tailgate gaps

There should not be any holes under the rails, unless you are talking about stake pockets. And stake pockets should be covered by the shell, with a drip edge on the shell to carry water away from the rails.

    waterproofing tailgate gaps

That Cabela's link looks like the seal I used. Note that it's a lot wider than typical weatherstripping, that's why it works. If you are getting leaks between the shell and the bed rail, just lift the shell and replace that seal. Don't overthink this.

    Opinions/suggestions/maybe pics please.

If the trailer does not already have stake pockets, one can purchase galvanized stake pockets that can be bolted around the outside perimeter of the trailer. Or a fabricator can cut and weld stake pockets into the existing frame.

    waterproofing tailgate gaps

I had the same problem with my '98 GMC, but it's not an issue on my Dodge or Toyota. GM trucks seems to be more prone to this issue. I don't remember the brand name (AgriSeal or something like that), but I found a big, fat self-adhesive bulb seal sold specifically for sealing up truck...

    Back-Up Light Question

My bigass backup lights are on separate toggles or rockers, not connected to the trans reverse switch or to the factory backup lights. I positioned the switches so that I can easily reach them while I'm looking back, and they all have big indicator lights so that I don't accidentally leave them...

Possible to go from 20" rims to 16" rims?

They should work (check the specs against your vehicle), but why would you pay $140 each (inc. $25 shipping) for reman wheels when you can probably get a set of factory takeoffs for $300? Have you looked on CraigsList? From a a dealer, with center caps. Private party would be cheaper...

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

I absolutely, positively do not want air suspension on anything I own. Have had it on one SUV and on three sedans, and it is way more trouble than it is worth.

ARB CKMTP12 High Performance Twin air kit

Tooltopia had a nice looking compact 1/2" air impact on sale last week. I deleted their email, but the sale may still be on their website. I think I'd go with a Husky from Home Depot before I'd rely on anything from HF that has moving parts. My air impacts are Craftsman and they have been fine...

    DD with kit or without??

I am proud to say that I have had my Power Wagon for ten years and my wife has never driven it. That means she has never rearranged my stuff.

    DD with kit or without??

My rack, awning, water tank, and drawers are always in the truck because it's such a pain to break everything down and find a place to store it. My cook kit is in the truck for trips, then gets cleaned and put away. I can only get away with this arrangement because I have another beater truck...

Possible to go from 20" rims to 16" rims?

It's not hard. Just go onto CraigsList and find a set of takeoff Z71 wheels from a 1/2-ton Chevy or GMC truck, or a Tahoe, Yukon, or Surburban. If you want Chevy center caps, get Chevy wheels. If you get GMC wheels, just paint the center caps to hide the GMC logo. None of these are going to...

    Auxiliary fuel tank for gasoline

My Dodge shortbed has a 34 gallon factory tank. More would be better, but not at the expense of bed space. If one is willing to trickle in gas after the pump shuts off, it will take about 37 gallons, but that fills up the expansion chamber. Only prudent if you fill up at the base of the...

Possible to go from 20" rims to 16" rims?

Police wheels are steelies? Whether steel or aluminum, check rim width and offset because most cop Tahoes seem to be 2WD, and cop Tahoes (at least around here) seem to ride lower than civilian versions.

Possible to go from 20" rims to 16" rims?

It's easy enough to measure the backspacing on your factory wheels and then you can calculate the offset, or just look it up. Once you have that info, selecting wheels becomes a lot simpler and less trouble prone. FWIW, my old GMC truck (1998) has successfully run two sets of 35s on 17in...

    Auxiliary fuel tank for gasoline

Lots of discussion of this on the Power Wagon Forum. No good solutions. Titan Tanks makes an aux tank for Ram diesels, but won't even answer questions about fitting to a gasser.

    rubbermaid action packer

I had to do the same thing to use a coupon for an online order to get some stuff that was not available in any HD store within 100 miles of me. HD seems a bit confused in their marketing strategy. On the one hand, store personnel tell me that the company wants customers to move more to online...

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

Maybe, but that does not mean it's a legitimate substitute for a real truck. Ford sells a ton of Raptors, but they are not real useful as a truck, except for pretty light use. Gonna be a lot of poseurs buying Jeep pickups.
