Just returned from a fly/drive from Sacramento, Ca to NC in a 135k mi '91 2500 4x4, averaged right at 18.4mpg at 65, all stock, never a hick up!! Not building a monster this go, decent tires, bumper/winch, etc and just enjoy the old girl...

Do serious maintenance- wheel bearings, flush tcase and tranny, replace cooling system, flush diffs, etc- a solid baseline will outperform all add one. Not as sexy of course, but she can be super reliable if baselines completely Enjoy!! And when it seems expensive doing the above, remember you...

I am building one as we speak, +2" lift going on now- literally, ARB front bumper with 8k# Warn winch, brand new KM AT2's, etc. New headliner, everything but cruise works, SD non s/r model, and from Cali with absolutely no rust. Oh, and have secured a low profile SD rack, but have to retrieve it...

Well, the liquidation continues with the sale of one of my favorite vehicles. I had a nice '07 Dodge PW with an aluminum UTE bed, but never saw double digits in the fuel milage! So, I sold it, and started the look for it's replacement, which is this particular truck. Short story- needs nothing...
