there are old OM turbo trucks I’ve actually seen and driven in Greece with over a million kms with their original turbos. I wouldn't worry about it..

Just some shots of the finished box being bonded to the subframe, AV also took our truck to be displayed at the Adventure Overland show (UK), some shots below :) Here she is at the show with the final version of the 4-point frame, the central cups were moved slightly forward and the rear...

Well, we cannot order in Norway until 2023 :( I am thinking the same, maybe a Dome enclosure for protection with some type of telescoping action to put above the habitat box?... I am sort of kicking myself now for giving away the light tower we had on the firetruck (pneumatic telescoping). But...

Really interesting! I Suppose SpaceX have already signalled their intent to provide connections to the maritime and mobile category with a more robust antenna already. I suppose this will be encapsulated in a dome for protection.. Interesting stuff and great that this actually works on the move too!

most mobile appliances rated for 12v in Europe are also rated for 24v. Almost everything from Dometic etc run on both. The only thing in my build I’ll need a 24/12 converter for is my maxxfan… I wonder why ?

Hi! Quite a bit of time researching Starlink and installations on our truck and the best resource by far was Marcus' blog found here, some of you probably know Trucks Truck already. We wont be getting our Starlink Dishy until Q1 2023 but I wanted to start planning the dish install, i think...

Anyone used one of these - Deadman Sand Anchor

On the subject of self recovery, I am looking at a 800-1600kgs Tirfor winch eventually.. all based on the wise words of Mr Ritter, some interesting and for me not very well circulated knowledge about recovery etc from the vid below..

    1120 AF Build in Norway

Thanks mate! More bike shots when she's finished! Right, RUB and MC carrier receiver are the same, the MC carrier is a modified commercial unit that can be removed from the RUB. Exactly, lower = more dirt, nothing drastic thou I hope and I think for most countries I can get away with driving...

    1120 AF Build in Norway

thanks! No more padding, just standard seat foam. We ride bikes quite a bit so our asses are nails ? Yea, I'm thinking we're going to make a proper full cover from some marine grade canvas. Hopefully the leather won't crack, it's full grain Norwegian leather, we'll see.

    1120 AF Build in Norway

Pretty much our last piece to be sent off to the fabricators with be the RUB with MC carrier. So our design is pretty simple in principle but needed the pros at AV (thanks Ryan) to actually pull this off. Because of the subframe and regs concerning the run under bar plus our suspension lift etc...

Anyone used one of these - Deadman Sand Anchor

not with a truck, but the deadman is a stable mountaineering and glacier anchor (with skis, backpack, etc), same concept I suppose..

Or just use a multimeter to check them first.. And a 12v 10amp charger will be cheaper than 2 new batteries.

What type of AC shore power protection are people using?

Hi Verkstad! Can you explain the reason for this a bit better? If there was a leakage fault one one circuit isn't the independent protection enough?

What type of AC shore power protection are people using?

Thanks Nick! I have not thought about about Americas yet, my thinking is to test the solar and DCDC (I am hoping Victron launch a more powerful DCDC converter soon) capabilities and hopefully be able to remain fully off-grid. Yea, I think ill use RCBOs (Type A 30mA) on all lines with duel poles...
