Totally right about that, nothing is 100% effective against lighting strikes that can reach millions of volts! The grid power in Greece (and I assume many places in the EU and ROTW) can fluctuate quite a bit and often has really bad noisy wave forms, I am assuming from faulty or just neglected...
I can send some links, I have more time a bit later so expect a more detailed post. I have not seen surge or over voltage protection in quite that range no. But there are customizable units available too, more digging and information coming.
Neil, depending on the brand OV and UV protection can be active (to the magnetic field breaker present in RCBO) to the breaker and not feed back into earth supplied by mains (N or seath casing normally). I think the lighting protection on the breaker I'm looking at is the same concept I'm not...
Hi,
So im ordering up and planning my AC input and distribution parts. I will be using residential type A RCBO protected setup rather than a marine panel or similar for AC, just because the features I am after simply do not seem to exist yet on bluesea panels etc, plus it is a lot cheaper! Of...
There is no way any of us on here should be afraid of honest reviews of products and services in the RV and truck industry. Builders and product manufactures should be honestly and independently peer reviewed so we can can all make the best decisions for for our builds. Exactly what you have...
Hi Jon!
Can you share some details of the filtration setup you have? Is it just connected to a separate drinking tap or runs through the whole freshwater output?
I would love a copy of the manual! You have my email :D

That is so cool! Did you use an AV step file as a basis or model it yourself?
We really would like a good 3D printer, but we are still saving for a CNC router to help with the buildout and just see that as more useful just now.
Absolutely beautiful! It makes all the difference having that box done with the same finish as the drivers cab! I think too many builds do not take the time and expensive to get that right (which I understand).
Oww yes, i want it! i know you shared your briefcase system design and shopping list a while back, any chance you will be updating this going forward? We should for sure start open-sourcing these inventions of your and hopefully I will have something to contribute along the way!
I was going to ask the same question. We’re alsothinking about abandoning our house for the RV/boat life in the near future. My work makes things extremely easy to travel around..
Right, all good points, Ive added a fairing from Adventure Spec (below) to hold a GPS/Phone and will also provide some wind assistance. We need to bike to perform offroad and be fun in the dunes etc. So I have new suspension on order now from the UK, the bike is really undersprung stock even for...
I highly recommend everyone to check out the UNICAT live videos, I have learned so much from them over the last 16 months, more so then any of the books and other media I have putchased. The one on water basically has some very convincing reasons not to use any filtering within the in-line...
We basically choose the 300L because it is slightly lighter and more capable offtrack (when the suspension is upgraded). The only advantage I saw for myself with the Rallye was the bigger fuel tank, great bike and I for sure considered Rallye too but for our needs the 300L just made more sense...
We have been sunning ourselves during Easter skication while AV has been sending us updates on the box build! Everything seems to be progressing very nicely and we getting updates quite regularly now! We have windows! Maybe too many? ?♂️?
My own todo list the next 2 months is getting rather...
Great to see the thread being started Tracy & Toni!
Really nice interior planning! I really want to know more about the underfloor heating! I went that route at first but gave up eventually with all the temp regulating requirements to use engine heat. I would really like to know more!
Again...
Just be a bit careful that everything is stored in a secure way as default, I've already had a near miss with the jack stored under the bench seat when tilting the cab ?
Starlink sounds like a dream, however their signal are a bit of a bother and they are not currently unidirectional i hear, plus not available here until next year :( I am not planning on tapping 3rd party wifi so I will be be ordering a 5G antenna and router, something like this...
Hi!
We opted to have this done by AV right after painting process. It is a pain and since the whole drivers cab was being disassembled, painted and rebuilt anyway we bit the bullet and contracted the workshop to do it (not cheap labour wise). AV are highly resourceful and their workshop & parts...
