This is a medium budget build in progress. There is no water tanks yet. It is a Rusty ol' LMTV. Good engine and tranny.. Camper box is to be a 14.5ft Freightliner Ambulance box (already purchased) but not mounted yet.
just thought of a way to make them more Food grade if go this way. Plastic bags.... grocery store version... they are HDP2 ones. Using ideas similar to video...... just create an inside layer of HDPE.

Thanks for the great info. Don't understand your "How" point ... pretty much what these bulletin boards are for is sharing and discussing "How's" but to each his own.
On mine since am going with first axle in a 6x6 pair as my rear axle; the spot above the driveshaft wont work.... unless I...
Thank you. Im assuming it would need reinforcing... say wood ribbed craddle it sits inside of. Also top would have to be sealed and bolted shut and whole thing strapped around it for further reinforcement.
Seller told me they are Pelican cases. I've asked them to look for more markings though.
know that RV's, resturants, etc. etc. use a special type plastic that does not leach bad stuff into the water or food. Ok get that. 150gal or so water tanks ain't cheap. Can get Military plastic boxes (water tight) that work out at around 50gal. if I made it into a tank. Plumb three...
Best of luck on your Kodiak. Considering hammock too. Got a hammock on sale recent.... price was right to experiment with. Below is what I got but would hang it.. not use frame. also considering a folding bed or a Murphy like bed for space reasons. Though having lived in a travel trailer...
"exterior" ... as in "Exterior surfaces" AKA- parts not inside the window frame that would conflict with it's ability to open and close or slide. This would include "exterior surface of window frame" that lies in the Interior of the camper.
Sorry for my bad choice of words.
Has anyone tried painting exterior of aluminum frame with Plastic Dip or similar to help cut back sweat? Maybe even try the insulating coatings used to cut temps in walls and floors of vehicles. (Lizard skin is one product) Heck even real thinned out truckbed liner might work.
Shoot the squirrel.... Keep the Mog. If you want to keep the Mog Utilitarian and not with a camper on back...... build you a camper on Mog wheels and tow it where ever you want. Or make it a slide in camper like an Alaskan that you can lift the top.
"Ralley Guys" but don't they replace stuff so often that is a bit of a mute point? Great idea on putting in valves to be able to shut down part of a circuit.
Not sure how anyone can do WVO (Waste Veggie Oil) these days. All restaurants I tried are tied up with contracts for their WVO. Good 15 years ago I tried over about a ten year period to get some in OH, FL, TX where I lived and pretty much NO veg oil was available anywhere. All tied to...
Couple Updates:
REAR AXLE/Driveline
Started working with a Welder who will Fab up new Spring perches on my replacement axle. This new one is the front of the rear pair of axles in a 6x6 . No not converting to 6x6. This is same thing the US Gov. did back around 2008?? This will bring the...
