    Grand Wagoneer ?

Had an 87 waggy. Loved it but hated the reliability. Truck was hell to work on because it didn't know if was a jeep chevy or ford. Such a mishmash of parts on the late models. Go to an early one for simplicity if you go this route but be ready to open your wallet.

    '13 Tacoma vs. '13 Rubicon

Your list is way incomplete. Dont forget how quick the wieght if spare fuel, recovery gear, tools and oh yea potable water and food! If it is only those 2 vehicles the taco is your best pic. However I would say that a trailer is your best route. I Would get a base 4x4 tacoma add an ome lift with...

    New CCW

Yep I'm working n holsters now. I picked up a cheap desantis iwb thats works till i get something better. I liked the hybrid style holster I was using for my p938 but 12 week wait I have to deal with. I just ordered a desantis super fly so I can pocket carry it my cargo shorts and pants. So I...

    New CCW

Well my search for the right edc weapon is over...... I think. I started to down size the G26 to a sig p938. So far the gun has been back to Sig 3 times so with the poor reliability I just can't carry it. I then went to the M&P shield 9mm. There is a lot to like about this gun especially for...

    sig p238 vs ???

Man it is tough to type on a cell phone with my fat sausages lol. I meant to say that the 938 is my full time carry gun and rides unnoticed when mounted on my Blackhawk ccw belt.

    sig p238 vs ???

Yes sig resolved the issues. I have decided to keepmit and after running it for awhile it is not on me every day. My full time carry gun. It has 8rnds of pdx1 124gr+p in it. 19 oz loaded so i hardly notice it ith my blackhack leather gun belt. I highly recomend this outstanding little shooter.

    The AR-15

Wow looks like the gun forum is taking off lol. I am building or should I say acquiring parts. I bought a stripped lower several months ago and have been picking up parts here and there when I can find them without getting bent over on price. So far I have a cmc trigger, rock river lower parts...

    1911 or Glock

Always a striker fired glock type guy. Recently started carrying a sig p938 which 1911 based system. Hardest part has been adjusting to manual safety type weapon.mit has taken quite some time to train that extra step into my muscle memory. Even though I carry it I still question my ability to...

    sig p238 vs ???

Well so far this one is off to a bad start, and I had to send it back to Sig. All my isues have geen with 115 gr ftfire and ftfeed. Gun operates at 85% which is way to low to trust for c.c. I just got it back this week and have not gone to the range. Sig polished the feed ramp and upgraded the...

    sig p238 vs ???

Well after a 2 month wait my new p938 is in! Got it home last night and broke it down for a good cleaning and lubrication. I was amazed at how dirty this thing was from the factory. Been along time since I bought a brand new gun, they had to have put more then 1 round through it. Anyway greased...

When do you learn to trust a new to you truck?

I think trusting your rig is really trusting yourself. If you have driven it for a few weeks and have gone through it making sure everything is properly serviced and up to date then I see no issue. All things mechanical will break from time to time. When you trust in yourself to make any...

advice with my tacoma and OME

Great lift. You do not need to replace the uca. Ome makes their kits to functionproperly using stock uca. I installed mine myself and if you have floor jack, jack stands and basic tools you can to. Shops will charge more to install something they did not sell just keep that in mind. Did you...

    Florida Tacoma build

Well it is still in the works. I have had a crazy few years and when I did have time to work on it I prioritized other stuff. Bottom line I was chasing parts we had 2 kids, bought my wifes company back out of partnership, i left the family business after 20 years and started a new company, we...

    Bug Out Vehicle

Well for us we would plan to hunker down at home till the right moment or need to get mobile happened. There is enough water and basic food for 3 weeks. Then divide the bug out supplies between the expo Tacoma and suburban. Hitting the road in two vehicles I feel is a better plan. Both have a...

thoughts on 4 cylinder 5 speed 4x4 3rd gen for expedition rig

I would throw 4200 for it immediately. That vehicle will not depreciate anymore. If you decide not to get it let me know where it is I'm in the market for a 4runner.

thoughts on 4 cylinder 5 speed 4x4 3rd gen for expedition rig

That is corrected. I run 4.88 gears and 255/85/16 on stock aluminum wheels. Course that is highway but that's also with full expo load. Mine is not a daily driver but I consider mileage a huge factor in an expo rig. Most of my friends can't go on trips because their jeeps with 40's get 8 mpg on...

thoughts on 4 cylinder 5 speed 4x4 3rd gen for expedition rig

I have a Tacoma with 3rz and 5 speed. Love love love that set up. I am currently running 33" tires but when I had 31" tires the truck was still astounding. In my current set up I,am getting right at 20. Mpg highway. For an expo built, lifted, geared and locked expo truck that is hard to beat...

Another jeep xj build from zephyrhills Florida

Looks good nice platform to work with. Being a fl guy and having a yoda with all the goodies my priorities would be as follows. Up grade your tires. For the type of stuff your doing tread selection is more critical then huge size. I can second the trans skid and sliders but make sure you elevate...

    I need help - decision

The price of an oztemt will be soon forgotten once you no longer have pay for upgrading and maintaining that trailer. Sure trailers are small amounts of $ here and there but they are in no way cheap to own.
