Ok so I managed to get my hands on the new sig p938. I think it's perfect for me. And only about 3/8 or so longer then the p238. However the slightly longer grip fills my hand better then the 238 and packs a 9mm punch which is better. All I have to do now is to wait for a two tone version to...
Well as usual I am a victim of my own ability to over think lol. I still have not made a decision but have looked a few others. In the 380 I am still leaning on the sig p238 but have taken another look at the lcp and lc9. I am going to look at a Kahr pm9 sig p938 this weekend and if I can find...
Appreciate all the feedback everyone. I know all the info on calipers and stuff I just do not want to carry a full side or a "compact" full size gun anymore. Just to heavy for my likes. Especially now that I have a 1 and 3 year old in tow most of the time. Gotta carry all their crap too lol...
So I have decided to get a new "summer" gun. Now before you laugh and say summer almost over just remember I live in Tampa, Fl and it can be 85 in January. I have started my search for the perfect ultra compact ccw. I was hoping to like the glock 26 or 27 but too large. looked at and shot the...
So we just moved south of Tampa and the new house is right around the corner from fishhawk sporting clays. I used to comp shoot pistols years ago and still go to the range alot. However I went with a buddy a few months ago to a trap range and loved it. I am now ready to get into this sporting...
Anyone running or wish they had got one nstead of the short bed? I am considering a new to me truck in the fall and as much as like the look of the short bed, the function of the long bed is great. I'm sure it would hurt in some offroad conditions, but I will not be doing any hardcore rock...
Having owned a taco for along time and run the full range of terrain I have some thoughts. First a stock taco is out of the box a great rig. Just adding tires with a good tread pattern like Maxxis mt or BFF km2 for example will really help. Adding a good suspension like an ome it makes a really...
Based on my experiance an xcab with a manual and 4cyl is the way to go. Mine is lifted locked and armored and i get 20mpg highway. My arb lockers, 255 maxxis tires, ome lift and 488 gears have not let me down offroad or on. I would drive any trail anytime with this arrangement.
No wonder i cant afford a new truck! With this electronic and hydraulic stuff that just adds weight, complexity and reduces driver ability it's no wonder why 4runners are $.
Chris will still do conversions. He just acquired a new expo platform that he has been planning for about 6 months. It will be amazing but I can not spoil te surprise. But let's just say 1000 mile range, 39" tires and all the amenities of home.
I would go 3.4 Toyota. If you look at it from a hp and torque to weight ratio the late model 4 runner with 4.0 4x4 is 4330lbs 236hp 266 ft lbs. A1985 4runner with the 3.4 is 3895lbs 183hp 217ft lb. The current runner has a weight ratio of 18.3 hp and torque of 16.27. The 1985 would be 21.28hp...
I'm running Maxxis bighorns in 255/85/16. Best tire I have run yet. Smooth on the highway. I had no road or off road issues on my last cross country trip out of Florida with these tires. Highly recommend them.
If you are set on an all terrain I would suggest the nitto terra grappler. I put a...
Well I have been waiting and waiting for the right deal on a good used plasma cutter. Noticed a hypertherm 30 craigs for $950. Not a good deal but turns out the guy was ready to move it since he had only used for a one time job 9 months ago when he bought it. After some haggling we settled on...
Wow love this thread what a great adventure. So far Ecuador is my fav South American country. We loved our time spent there in Quito, Beautiful city, nice people. We long to return to S.A. Again.
Mileage will be your biggest hurdle. That limits you to a 4 cyl. Why not a suzuki 4door. Not a heavy duty rig but with smart upgrades could be what you need. An old 4 runner could also be good but age leaves reliability in question.
Other then price there has never been a good Coleman canoe. They do not run enough cashmere on the rail to support then seat load especially with the thin single layer poly. I used to get them in all the time for repairs after about 3 years of age. The poly spec with Coleman as no u.v...
