Looking for input from the Nissan snorkel club

None of you are making me feel good about this. Is it acceptable to down a shot of bottom-shelf well whiskey before taking the saw to the fender?

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Meh, I'll probably just eye ball it and wing it :costumed-smiley-007 Yep, I'll get to that right after I drive nails into my tires for extra winter traction:safari-rig:

I did! The price was too of to pass up considering how long I've been debating getting one.

Rock Front OHV - Cayuma Valley/Santa Lucia Range

Looks like a great time, and I love the Tacoma. It's refreshing to see someone take the time to deliberately and responsibly relocate creatures that aren't traditionally considered "desirable" And remove them from harm's way. I've seen too many people give into their initial inclination to...

07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

Interesting. No abnormal or obnoxious noises coming from the rear so far? I'm exploring options for when my stock pack and AAL inevitably become too soft for my RTT and camping gear, and would like a third option beyond OME and Alcans.

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Good to see you finally made a build thread for the truck over on the domestic forum. As I mentioned over there, bring your beast out West so you can experience real trails! Also, don't forget to call Mom and Dad for Easter :-)

07 Off The Leash Adventure Xterra

Looks awesome man! Saw the new pictures on the other site earlier. Looking back at your suspension install; sweet Jesus those leaf packs are impressive! What load and lift are they rated for, and how are they riding so far?

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Thanks! And yes, it is. It's a used 285/75/16 that's quite worn and it's a tight fit. It would be difficult to squeeze a new 33 inch Duratrac in there, but I could probably do it.

2011 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Build

BrianJames, where do you plan on camping? I'm exploring options now in my internal struggle to justify making the trip.

Well I somehow managed to delete the post containing the picture of the new rear bumper, so here it is again.

    Josh's 2014 Xterra Pro 4x - guided by necessity

Thanks, man. I definitely like that this bumper shows a little more of that expensive piece of red iron. I'm actually debating adjusting my shackles so the rear sits 1/2 inch higher as I've lost a wee bit of height putting all of that new steel so far behind the axle. We'll see.

2011 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Build

Gah I'm seriously debating taking some leave and heading down to GONE MOAB. I've never been and it looks like a blast. Great news on the RTT!

    Mounting MaxTrax on Gobi Ladder?

Any more details on these universal mounts? Might be worth holding out on to avoid having to fab something myself that likely won't be great.
