Ya, goes right through town and dumps right into the bay, only one I saw there. More more like a stream than a river.
If they got it all worked out that is great! I wanted to surf there but it just stunk to much.
I am sure you are eating awesome tacos and I am jealous!
Cheers
So I been working on pulling the motor from the Patrol, here are some pictures.
Taking my time but making good progress. By tonight I may be ready to hook the hoist up to it. ;)
Does the drainage ditch still reek of sewage? They had some bad plumbing problems there and that ditch reeked of sewage making it undesirable to surf since it dumps right into the bay. This was about 3yrs ago and the locals were hoping the government would fix it.
Sorry no advice for you, I...
I am still preparing all the sand blasted parts for paint. It is taking way more work then I thought it would but I am going pretty far with things. Like the axle tubes all cleaned out of old grease/oil. Wire brushing (on the 4" grinder) everything, detailing any areas the sand blaster missed...
Thank you!
Ya it got washed, not sure what with, something similar to acetone I think. Can ask the dude tomorrow. The sealer is also something from Dupont, perhaps in the Imron line, could ask that too. We had a little bit of "shadowing" as the painter calls it but I touched all that up today...
Soon this build will see some life!
I have changed directions a little bit and am not so sure I will take the build all the way to turn key done. However I am doing a lot to it.
I just got the truck in the shop that is donating the axle housings for this build. So once that truck is all...
hey Dan, cutting up your post to make it a bit easier to reply to your questions...
No but I will once it is all said and done. Brand new motor, don't want to rev it over 2500rpms until break in is complete, also don't want to play with the fuel until then too.
yes sir that is correct! Good...
Detailed pictures of the painted frame....
Can you tell it was patched here!?
I am satisfied with this. Would you guess it had been fully fabricated!?
Some more of the knuckle balls, before & after, since they are done now.
Cheers
I totally agree.
I have both a Hennessy and a large ENO. I have done jungle camping in the Hennessy and it really is great for that. I recently used it with the set up you see above posted by Karzytoy. I am hooked on what he has done and going to copy it on my next truck. The ENO I took a nap...
A good few days logged since my last update on the 64. There is always more work then you think when it is actual time to get things done.
Sneaky spy pictures! :peepwall:
Here is the knuckle ball, polished with a wire brush. After polishing you can see the groove in it pretty...
Just a couple small suggestions....
no pricing on the website
not much info about construction on the website, ie materials made from, how well it seals up, how well it works in rain or strong winds. Obviously tested in the snow but snow is not the same beast as rain and high winds.
Also...
I saw this on Bring a trailer and thought you G-wagon lovers would like it!

It was cold but I guess not as cold as previous years. It was nice meeting lot's of people from the Expedition Utah group. I had to much apple pie! But a few of us attempted to solve the worlds problems into the wee hours of the morning. Beautiful sky last...
You are welcome and thanks for your comments!
